About this deal

Effortless Connectivity: Whatever the situation demands, the HeadRush FRFR-108 includes hassle-free connectivity options for sheer versatility on stage or in rehearsal scenarios alike. With 2 XLR/TRS 1⁄4-inch combo inputs, each with their own independent volume control and clip indicator, amplifying and mixing two separate signal sources couldn’t be any simpler – plus with a thoughtful Ground-Lift switch, eliminate unwanted noise at venues with grounding issues and ensure you sound at your best every time.

In case you haven't gotten the drift yet....here it is ONE MORE TIME: There is no such thing as a FRFR speaker!! There is no standard for it. There is no standard reference for it. It is purely a marketing term and means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in any measurable way.Unless you're very well off you can't afford the kind of studio monitors that come CLOSE to being truly Flat Response. If you’re a guitarist or a bassist and you make use of modelling technology, the Headrush FRFR 108 would work just fine for you. It is also for those who desire a straightforward, inexpensive, and potent studio or home practice setup. Nothing beats the tone of good tube amp. Going from a M.Boogie Mark IV to two 8"FRFR Headrush wedges turned out to be a huge surprise. I'm driving it with Sweetwaters exclusive custom white Straymon Iridium amp/cab emulator. All my mono footpeddles are in line before the Iridium. From the Iridium stereo outputs, I use 1/4" stereo cable going to channel 1 of both Headrush wedges. I do the same with my acoustic processor using channel 2. The Headrush wedges are set 45deg on each side of my centered vocal monitor wedge. I'm not running stereo but this sets both Headrush wedges at the same volume. You can link them together but the vol. From the 1st wedge will push the vol in the 2nd. You can balance them out but that's more stage setup time which many of us dont have that luxury. Since I'm running mono, from the closest Headrush wedge XLR output, the combined acoustic and electric mix goes to the main board. My vol. Is controlled by the vol.knob on the Iridium for electric, Acoustic Soulmate for the acoustic, now perfectly balanced in the Headrush wedges. I dont put my gtr mix in my vocal monitor, it all comes from the 2 Headrush wedges. What an awesome sound! A pair of FRFR108 cabs will have MORE than enough for your needs. There have been a number of YT vids by Metal Heads who like them just fine.

Due to its small size, FRFR 108 is better for smaller rooms and studios. It has a good sound quality for the price it is selling for. It is very simple to use and easily installable. I suggest using 90deg. connections both XLR and 1/4" other wise the tilt on the wedge,in a monitor position, will compress the straight cables. In reality, any one guitar tone would probably have three potential versions, one for playing just on it's own, one for a studio mix, and one for a live mix.People wonder where is the speaker located? Turn it up and put you hand in front of it - the air is pushed to detect the 8" to be located toward the bottom half if stood up. One more unhappy home Headrush FRFR 108 user...I have to admit due to family needs I really haven't put in the time to learn the ins and outs of making the Helix sound great, I know many here have documented how it takes time and you get rewarded by learning from other users, trial and error...however my setup is: All these Headrush powered boxes remind me of the Alto TS210s and similar powered boxes (I have 4 of the TS210s). If only because they look like they're sourced from the same manufacturer. I am aware there are some internal differences between the Alto TS312 series and the Headrush112, but I'm curious how the Headrush boxes actually sound for modelers.

TheHeadRush FRFR-108 is the latest addition to their speaker range. Amore compact version of the FRFR-112, this speaker isnot only more portable, but italso makes it one of the most affordable FRFR cabs on the market! As far as the difference between the Alto and the HR, there is a Youtube video where someone compares the two. In all honesty I could not hear a major difference between the two (if at all). Might be my ears though ..... When it's used as a floor monitor, some of the weight rests on the cables depending on the orientation. There are more similarities between these two than there are differences. Below are just a few of the differences:The FRFR 108 can travel with you because it is lighter and smaller than other models. In contrast, FRFR 112 is frequently chosen for long-term use in big spaces.
