Dilansir dari laporan khusus VOA tentang pengungsi Suriah, istilah ini dicetuskan oleh Hamza lantaran melihat dan meneliti bagaimana trauma yang dimiliki oleh korban konflik Suriah begitu besar hingga istilah PTSD pun tidak cukup menggambarkan trauma dan kerusakan mental yang dialami korban.Kengerian demi kengerian yang ia temui setiap hari di rumah sakit membuat kondisi mentalnya semakin terpuruk. Belum lagi dengan fakta Salama sebenarnya juga adalah korban dari krisis kemanusiaan yang melihat dengan mata kepalanya sendiri tubuh ibunya termutilasi akibat serangan udara dan ayah serta kakak laki-lakinya dibawa paksa oleh pasukan militer Assad untuk disiksa di penjara.

This is this type of story which will stay with you for a long time, and I simply think that everyone should read it.This is my land, and just like the lemon trees that have been growing here for centuries, spilled blood won't stop us. I've been force fed oppression but I will no longer swallow its bitter taste." as a pharmacy student with some medical knowledge, she had to volunteer at the hospital to heal and help injured people. she teaches you to fight your fears no matter how persistent and real they seem. she teaches you that you can eventually heal from the pain and trauma and if not, you can still find love and happiness. although some of her decisions were dumb and hypocritical, i appreciated the realism. The main purpose of this book is to raise awareness. Awareness of a reality that happens at the same time as our reality but it's completely different, like a world apart. Definitely need to reread when it comes out because apparently there are little things I missed (you wouldn't believe it, her mind !!)
