If you're thinking about blind-buying Ari, SLC or Moonlight, and don't know which one to choose, I'd say: My main goal at the perfume shop today was to test and compare SLC & Ari, neither of which I have tested before. Sadly I dropped the paper strip right after leaving the shop! I had sprayed some on my arm, just not on a pulse point. I can't justify owning 'Sweet Like Candy' when I have a far superior & yummier scent: 'Meow' by Katy Perry. This is an 'Ehhhh' for me.A lot of “limited edition” perfumes are identical to the original scent, just in a different bottle. That is not the case with this one. One other interesting thing about SLC is that it smells completely different depending on what part of your body you spray it on. On parts that get a lot of airflow - like your wrists - it pulls slightly masculine. But on warmer/hidden parts of your body - your cleavage, the crook of your elbow, etc. - the sweetness develops and takes on almost an ethereal quality. If AG Cloud (supposedly) smells exactly the way a fluffy blue cloud would smell, then SLC is its airy pink sky sister. There are no reasons to complain about the longevity of the Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy perfume either. True, there’s a smell of cotton candy but there’s also the promise of something more. The scent isn’t linear at all.

This is a whole different scent. Barely smells anything like my beloved SLC. I get a lot of musk and practically no marshmallow, which is a bummer because that's the main reason I love SLC so much. This actually smells more like Moonlight to me, but also sort of like Ari....It's like 50% moonlight, 20% SLC and 30% Ari. This definitely isn't as sweet as the original. The floral notes are much stronger and the cashmere & musk make this not as fluffy & soft. The projection & silliage is kinda weak which is surprising to me because her others all perform beautifully. They're all well done and beautiful in their own way, and the marshmallow is in all of them. To me, SLC and Ari are very different from each other. In fact, I find SLC to have more in common with Moonlight, though they're different too. All three are clearly in the same family though, share that same Ariana DNA.

And in the box, low and behold it was this red bottle! What a score! I mean, if i didn't want this one it would be inconvenient but I've looked for this in Oz and the price is ludicrous for a celeb fragrance, LE or not. So I thought that was quite a win for me lol.

Projection and longevity on my skin is INSANELY POOR. Worse than an EDT. From initial spray 'Sweet Like Candy' is a skin scent: I sprayed like 20 times and people around my household didn't even notice. After 3 hours the scent is 100% G O N E, despite having a nice depth! This is not something that should bother you at all, especially considering how affordable the price is. With its longevity, you can use it as a comfort scent mostly. It is really comforting and gives you a boost when you are feeling low and also fits your mood when you are happy. It is a great fragrance to wear to work. I might prefer this during cooler seasons as a warm comforting scent. I don't necessarily associate whipped cream with summer ~ I want something ultra fresh and light this time of the year. SLC is not heavy though, I found Moonlight heavier thanks to the plum note.

Throw your expectations out of the window with this perfume and try not to be fooled by the name because though it truly is sweet, you won’t go around smelling only of candy. It is sweet in the way that viva la juicy scents are sweet but this one surpasses them. It sometimes smells like a combination of original juicy plus Sucré. That’s how good the longevity is. It is a good fragrance that is ideally suited for people who like perfumes that are very sweet. Apart from the amazing scent, the longevity of this fragrance is something that makes people keep reusing it. It lasts long enough for you to spray it on your clothes or even your skin. You will surely get compliments from your workmates since the scent tends to uplift the moods of people who encounter you when you wear it. It is a hit amongst older men who compliment it a lot. This is probably because of the included vanilla notes. Still, the fragrance makes you feel good about yourself regardless of who admires it. The candied berry accord present in this fragrance when blended with the rest of the notes actually smells a little bit like cotton candy does, but it does not conform to this scent completely.
