About this deal

A safety brake is built-in the machine to avoid any harm to yourself while operating MAKITA. The push-button is required to be continuously pressed while using the saw; if by any chance the push button is deactivated, the engine brake will turn off the machine, and the saw blade will become stationary. In this way, the risk of any chance of injury to your hand is minimized. Do you know that you can adjust MAKITA on a turntable effortlessly? The motorized MAKITA contains a rotating circular saw blade for slicing several kinds of materials. The turntable needs to be adjusted following the required angle for cut. After adjusting the turntable to either a preset degree that is 0, 22.5, 45, or 60, the inclination angle is set, and the safety lever is released. You can read the operation manual to read in detail the execution processes. But for the money, it’s a great saw thatmany people use regularly and highly recommend. I too would recommend this saw if the price is in your range. It’s somewhat middle-of-the-road on cost, so you won’t have to pay top dollar, while still getting really great cutting capacities and a professional grade build-quality. MFR warranty included. Moreover, there is an additional voucher inside the box for claiming another saw blade for free. The Advantages

To understand the terminology... Mitre, Vs Bevel Vs Compound Vs Sliding Vs Gliding... not all saws work the same way. You'll find that each term builds on the last, adding some feature. While all of these saws can do mitre cuts, (as it's the most basic function) the term "Mitre Saw" while generically true... might be under-selling many saws that have additional capability.

Out of the box, you have to set up the Makita for accuracy, which is bloody unfortunate. It would seem tedious, but must be done. You must align the blade to the table top and the blade to the fence. There are some videos on you tube and this one is really helpful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGQmHPS4nU0 It also can handle a 45° miter cut thru an 8-1/2″ board. So again, really good capacities on the crosscut. As you can see, it’s a dual bevel saw. You can bevel left and right, both to 45°. While I would prefer a slightly extended bevel range, say to 47°, the 45° is industry standard and this will take care of 95% of most peoples beveling needs. After setting the unit up as per the manual to register all cutting planes at 90 degrees, no problems.

I attach 2 sets of wood screwed to the fence which serve as zero clearance kerf boards for both, 0 and 90 deg cuts and that works well. It’s built to last and has a decent warranty for the price tag. I would say for non-professionals, this tool will probably last a really long time. It does have a bigger footprint due to the standard slide rails than it’s cousin, the Makita LS1019L, but that saw’s features come with a higher price tag (and total weight).Another very lucrative feature is the laser light which runs on Lithium-ion batteries. As expected, the laser beam produces a straight line over which the saw blade runs to shear through the wood. After marking the wood pieces, planks, or logs with a pencil, just align them with the laser beam to cut precisely without any mistake. Do you know you can tilt the cross-cut saw head to both horizontal and vertical planes with the MAKITA? This tool is exceptionally adjustable, eliminating the need to tilt the beam or plank for minor cuts. This saw offers a lot of features for a lot of people. However, the manufacturer had professionals in mind when they designed it. All small-scale maintenance projects involving repairing window frames, laying laminate floors, and sitting can be completed efficiently due to MAKITA LS1018L’s presence. You will be flabbergasted to discover the pull function of MAKITA LS1018L, which is realized by the double tube. The roller bearings are joined to the rear swivel joint through this tube. You can never produce any low-quality blur works while using this saw. Specifications Product

Double sliding rails with linear ball bearings on each rail ensures a perfectly smooth and accurate cutThis particular saw can cut a 12″ wide board at 90°– so it’s great for shelving, wide dimensional lumber, plywood (see photo above), etc. The Makita LS1018LN 240V 260mm Slide Compound Mitre Saw Laser will prove valuable to professionals such as carpenters and kitchen fitters. The powerful 240V motor has an input wattage of 1430W and a no load speed of 4300rpm to make short work of crosscuts and mitre cuts. This saw excels at cutting through wider materials and structures, such as boards and frames, thanks to its 260mm blade with a 30mm bore diameter. the tool is not an Air Compressor/ Air Tool, a Battery/ Charger, an Accessory, or a Petrol or Production Tool I don't understand what all the negative comments are about for this machine. I think it's quite adequate. I'm an engineer/home handyman and wanted something of reasonable quality. Sure, the saw is at the bottom of the Makita price points, and equal price to the top Ryobi price points, though after a very good run since buying, sensational value and an accurate, well made saw. Being a sole trader, money is wisely spent on tools, looking for value and not necessarily an overkill with more than what might be required for my purposes.
