About this deal

Similar to most books in this series, the tone is dark. Themes involve drug abuse, sexual abuse, rape, and physical assault. Not just an unbearably tense thriller but another of Nesbo's studies in love and loneliness... there are few greater crime writers The Times, Crime Book of the Month What happened during the pandemic was that I learnt to write at home. Up until then it was the only place I couldn’t write. He'll need to bring together a misfit team of former operatives to do what he can't do alone: stop an unstoppable killer. But as the evidence mounts, it becomes clear that there is more to this case than meets the eye.

Killing Moon is the 13th novel in the Harry Hole series, although each title reads as a standalone. Jo Nesbø is one of today’s most interesting thriller writers, and Harry Hole is an all-time great character.” Needless to say, I can appreciate the thought that Nesbø put into the construction of this story, and I do feel like it is a bit of a clever take on some classic themes. This is a short book and can easily be read in 1 to 2 days. Nesbø threw in a couple of twists along the way, giving readers bits of information at a time. I thought I knew where things were going, I was wrong, wrong, wrong. I like it when that happens. But even thought I did not figure out where this book was heading, it did not wow me as I was anticipating. C’è un bambino a cui augura un futuro e una bella vita, (o perlomeno migliore della sua), a cui una notte per farlo addormentare canta una ninnananna dal ritmo blues sui pericoli della cocaina

A promising career as a professional footballer for Norwegian premiership side Molde FK – with a dream of playing for Spurs – was cut short by tearing the ligaments in both knees. Asked if that means he now uses the desk in his home office, he says: “That is the only place I can’t write. I have this beautiful desk that I imported, that I bought for a ridiculous amount of money. books in, and this series is still going strong. The side characters have become just as important as Harry, and this book features Katrine Bratt, Truls, Bellman, Mona Daa, and some other favorites. There are a few characters that I used to hate, but I have come to love them. As if the loss of his parents wasn't bad enough, the move puts Richard in a new school, and at 14, it's not comfortable to be the new kid. Ballantyne is a small town as well, and since Richard is from a city, its a big change for him.

I've been following the Harry Hole novels by Jo Nesbo for quite awhile. I haven't read all of them, but I've read many. Harry is a great detective who has solved several big serial killer cases and is quite famous in Oslo for his successes. He has a serious flaw in that he is an alcoholic and doesn't bend to authority well. Well, Henrik Ibsen was mandatory reading when you went to school in Norway, and at that young age he felt old and boring. It was only later, when I was living a life where I could relate, that I started reading him. I went on to read all of his plays, every one of them, and realised what a great entertainer he is. Killing Moon is a magnificent concoction. It is beyond fantastic and is one of the greatest crime novels I have ever read. And I have read thousands.” This story could essentially be broken down into three parts. For me, the first most closely resembled what I thought I had signed up for and although I thought Richard was a jerk, some of the plot developments were interesting. This is a hard book to review. I read it all the way through. There were certainly parts I enjoyed, but also lots of “come on—really?” parts. Two young women are missing, their only connection being that they attended the same party, hosted by a notorious businessman. When one of the women is found murdered, the police discover an unusual signature left by the killer, giving them reason to suspect he will strike again. Thoughts: I LOVED this book. It was so easy to get into and so weird and creepy right from the beginning. There were so many odd things going on and it was hard to know what was real and what wasn’t. There was a story within a story and I loved the different parts of this book. Jo Nesbo is such a fantastic writer and I couldn’t read it fast enough.
