About this deal

Rose gold is considered by many to be the most romantic and beautiful metal in the world due to its pinkish-red colour and dreamy hues. Did you know that you can easily create your own rose gold cakes using our Metallic Rose Gold Lustre? The vodka that I was using was a small bottle from the local supermarket by Absolute Vodka. On the front of the bottle it has 40% alcohol volume.

For uber glamorous weddings, we love this gold cake idea. Fondant icing was made to create intricate decorations like these - they are so well-made you almost don't want to eat them. The icing leaves, roses and cherub are giving us Versace mansion vibes and would be right at home at Kourtney Kardashian's wedding celebrations. Renshaw Royal Icing was used to create the drip effect on this cake, by watering it down gradually. To create the white chocolate colour on this drip pattern, add Rainbow Dust Cream ProGel to your Royal Icing. Using Royal Icing will achieve a superior drip effect than if you used melted chocolate instead. Each liquid may produce a slightly different effect, so don't be afraid to experiment. Practice on a Test Piece: Marbled icing makes for such gorgeous wedding cake designs, and we love the fact that this one by Cake Buds has been created in peach and orange instead of super muted tones. If you're looking for an elegant wedding cake idea for a modern theme, this one could be for you.

The 6 options did give slightly different effects but I really hope there is one in the list that you can use that gives you the finish you need. Also if you use something that I haven’t mentioned, let me know in the comments below. I would add that on buttercream cakes the options without alcohol don’t go on as well. For large areas they tend to separate slightly not giving a solid colour. Pre-mixed edible paint This technique is great for adding intricate details or highlighting specific areas of your cake. Dusting: In a small bowl, mix a small amount of edible gold dust or luster dust with a few drops of clear alcohol or lemon extract.

Normally this will be a blend of carefully chosen handmade florals and foliage to match their unique wedding theme, as seen here." We love this floral wedding cake idea so much, and could see it being replicated on even bigger (or smaller!) cakes alike.
