About this deal

Book a festive escape in the Kent countryside and enjoy Christmas at Bedgebury, a dazzling after-dark trail through Bedgebury National Pinetum. One of the south's most popular festive events, it invites you to see Bedgebury in a different light as you explore the mile-long illuminated trail through the forest. You can dive through sparkling tunnels of light, see floating lights on the lake and even Santa himself makes an appearance in his alpine cabin in the woods.

One of the fundamental ingredients of a Christmas movie is a heartwarming atmosphere. Though An Unforgettable Christmas possesses joyfulness, it feels forced, as do most situations in the story. One of the worst segments shows Lucy Lovett (yep, we even have cute names thrown in) losing her memory. Lucy's rushing down a snowy street when distracted by a street corner Santa and ends up arse-over-head on the pavement - insert retrograde amnesia here. The trouble with the sequence is that it's poorly written and unexceptionably filmed. Worst still, this is merely the opening, and the rest of the film follows a similar style. Even with the likes of Mr Christmas, Andrew Walker, portraying the male romantic lead, Zach, the cast does little to lift this Christmas Turkey out of its stereotypical funk. Lamentably, a few of the performers add to the movie's funkiness. I enjoyed the little breadcrumbs the writer(s) gave us along the way to indicate the mystery behind past events. These were interwoven precisely leading to the reveal. I felt it was almost masterful in that respect (for a Hallmark film), but the ending was a bit predictable. On the other hand, although predictable, the last 15 minutes were really good, as were the first 30 minutes. The rest is ordinary. Big thanks to Hallmark Publishing for granting me an e-ARC of this book via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book in any way.I liked how the competing love interests (Lucy's fiancee Brad and Zach's girlfriend Morgan) weren't total dweebs, annoying jerks or evil schemers. They were perfectly nice, fine people, who, in the absence of the clear attraction between Lucy and Zach, would have been completely suitable significant others. I also liked Lucy's friend Anna. Lucy didn't even remember her, yet they got along famously from the start. There was probably as much chemistry between Lucy and Anna as between Lucy and Zach. I liked that she wasn't just an accessory, but an integral part of the plot. Dubbed England's 'Christmas Capital,' Winchester in Hampshire is a charming place for a festive break. Bagging one of the most picturesque settings in the country, Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market (17th November until 21st December) features more than a hundred wooden chalets, all selling cutesy handmade crafts and festive treats. Don't miss one of the cathedral's carol concerts held in the run up to the big day. Famous around the world for its Hogmanay celebrations, Edinburgh is also the perfect spot for a frosty break at Christmas. The Scottish capital promises six weeks of festive events and celebrations in the run up to the big day. Visit Santa Land on Princes Street Garden with its Elves' Workshop and a Christmas Maze, or potter around the twinkling chalets at Edinburgh Christmas Market on East Princes Street Gardens. An Unforgettable Christmas is an absolutely perfect and wonderful Christmas love story that I’ll never forget. The story of this book is about Angie, a single mom whose husband had passed away from the accident years ago and Sam, a successful businessman who was the owner of a jewelry store. Angie worked at Sam’s jewelry store as an accountant and always helped him by giving advices on many things. Few days before Christmas, Sam had an accident and lost his memory temporarily. Accordingly, the doctor said that he needed someone to take care of him while his memory wasn’t completely recovered. And because his dad was quite old and the relationship between them wasn’t that good, Angie decided to take care of him instead. In these days while they were trying to recover his old memories, they were also creating new memories too. But finally Sam will recover his old memories or not? If Sam actually recovered them, will it affect the new ones that they created together? You need to find out! ♡ And the kids will love a ride on the Santa Express. Ride one of the authentic narrow gauge steam trains along the scenic Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway and visit Santa in the Dalegarth Grotto.

I also agree that I would like to see more of Ashley Greene in future Hallmark movies. I have mentioned elsewhere that Hallmark's go-to stars are getting up in age past the point where they can play young love hoping to start a family. I'm glad to see several younger ladies this year, although they still don't seem willing to dip into twentysomething for a lead. Where better place to celebrate the festive season than in Scrooge's old stomping ground. A pre-Christmas break in London has become a long-held tradition for many over the years. Visit the twinkling Christmas lights along Regent Street, meet Father Christmas at Hamley's and enjoy fun night out at Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland. was a very hit and miss and generally unimpressive year for Hallmark and their Christmas output, despite some surprisingly good efforts. 'Christmas on My Mind' to me and am not sure how this opinion is going to go down managed to be one of the best from that year and actually among their best Christmas films in general. It's not a masterpiece by any stretch, then again is that expected from Hallmark, or flawless. But 'Christmas on My Mind' does show that Hallmark do have a good film in them if given a chance and that they can do something different to usual.Where to stay: Located behind the Piazza and St Paul's Church, the Z Hotel Covent Garden is in the beating heart of the West End. Moments from the shops, markets and bars of Covent Garden, it's also within easy reach of the theatres, Oxford Street and Regent Street. All of the rooms are smart and simply furnished with modern en-suite shower rooms, making it a good-value base for a London Christmas getaway. Where to stay: On the corner of Waterloo Street and Blythswood Street and moments from the cool shops, bars and restaurants around Buchanan Street, Hotel Indigo is a stylish base for a festive trip to Glasgow. The 94 rooms are colourful and comfy, and adorned with rich fabrics and local artwork. All have large windows, polished wood flooring and a rare free minibar. But overall, I highly recommend this book. You might wanna read this if you want to feel the spirit of Christmas early and if you miss your family.

How I love a Christmas story, and this book was the perfect Christmas read! Angie is a young widower and single mother who lives in a loving multi-generational home. Angie works at a jewelry store and loves her job and the customers she serves. Sam is the owner of the store who works alongside her. Sam’s a little distant is his manner, with no real interests outside of his store. Cosy candlelit pubs, twinkling fir trees and festive Victorian arcades, there's something marvellously magical about Christmas in Cardiff. Dominating the grounds of Cardiff Castle, the Christmas Festival is always the highlight of winter in the Welsh capital. Running from 25th November until New Year's Day, visitors can take a spin on the Winter Wonderland Ice Rink, explore the dazzling displays along the Ice Walk and spend an evening in the Spiegeltent, a bohemian glass-and-velvet inlaid pavilion which hosts festive shows like Castellana and the family-friendly Santa’s Wish. Performances run from Saturday 2nd December through to Sunday 17th December and there are morning and afternoon sessions. Christmas on My Mind' isn't perfect. It did get a bit too weird and silly towards the end, which also felt too pat. Other treats will be available during the event so that visitors can keep those energy levels up throughout the Christmas party. Families are also encouraged to turn up in their most sparkly jumpsuits, and there will be a free bounce pass for 2023 awarded to the best dressed.I always hope for big things from HMM because the Christmas movies there are supposed to be more heartwarming. This movie belonged on the regular Hallmark channel. It is a basic romance, and there is nothing special about except maybe the lead actors. I didn't say it is bad, just nothing special. First intial annoyance was Ashley Greene's nose because her nostrils seemed huge and just out of place. I don't usually have things like this bother me, but seriously took some time into the movie to get used to looking at her. I didn't watch the Twilight series except first one and I don't recall thinking anything about her features. There’s a special gift for every little elf: What's Christmas without presents? At The Elf Experience, every little elf in attendance will receive a special gift from Santa's workshop. Brad, played by Clayton James was a nice guy too and a cutey. His change of heart at one point seemed a little bit easy and hard to believe though and It did feel like he had a different voice dubbed over his own. After dark, explore the Christmas Light Trails that illuminate the city before hunkering down in one of the city's festive bars and pubs. For the ultimate Christmas treat, book a twilight spa session at the Thermae Bath Spa and take a health-boosting soak in Bath's mineral-rich hot springs in an open-air rooftop pool.

Head to the Knightsbridge boutique to admire the legendary window displays and try your hand at an array of fun fairground games given a Harvey Nichols’ twist to be in with a chance to win gorgeous prizes, including fashion, beauty, food, wine and curated in-store experiences. Quite the upgrade to the stuffed animals promised at childhood fairs, we think you’ll agree. Glasgow also welcomes a handful of festive markets. George Square Christmas Market is the most popular, not least thanks to its giant illuminated ferris wheel where the brave are treated to far-reaching views across the frosty city. Don't miss Blenheim's Illuminated Trail, a sparkling spectacular of fairy-lit tunnels, jewel-coloured trees and lakeside lanterns, which winds through rolling gardens designed by Capability Brown. I like films with amnesia in the plot, though this plotline has been worked to death and can be really cheesy if not handled right. In this case, it was handled right. The storyline was different and fresh. More importantly, the basics of a good movie were handled well. You had a good script, with believable dialog and a compelling plot. You really felt for Lucy and the fact that she couldn't remember the past two years of her life, and that her life appeared to be so different from what she thought it should be and what she wanted it to be. You really wanted to know how she had gotten there, particularly how she had split up with Zach, who she was so clearly still in love with. They strung you along until the end, waiting for the answer to that mystery. Furthermore, 'Christmas on My Mind' pleases visually, lovely festive locations attractively and never drably or garishly shot. The music isn't as intrusive as it tends to be with Hallmark while the direction gets the job done well. The script doesn't get too cheesy or sentimental and does have a more natural flow when it becomes more settled. The story is not too heavy while taking itself seriously and is both warm-hearted and has a light touch when necessary.

But Edinburgh attractions really come into their own at night. See the Castle of Light: Magic and Mystery, an enchanting light projection show at Edinburgh Castle, take a sparkly spin on the Big Wheel or the Star Flyer, or visit the Reimagined Light Night, a mile-long light trail through the Royal Botanic Gardens. There are times where the dialogue could have been better. Parts are for my tastes on the cheesy and forced side. A few slow moments here and there. I agree with the review that the chemistry between the leads doesn't burn down any chem labs. There is a mystery as to why they broke up and when we get to what it is my reaction is So What. I never really did get why Lucy had a sudden personality change supposedly the last three months before she left. It's implied that maybe that's because she was pleasing Aunt Audrey, but I don't think that was covered very well. One day Sam has an accident and develops memory loss and is told he cannot be left to recover on his own. Angie’s family takes him in to recover in their home in the days leading up to Christmas Day. Sam’s illness makes him a happier, more friendly man. He begins to repair relationships with those he has estranged. Furthermore, the attraction between Angie and Sam cannot be denied. But the question remains - when Sam recovers, will the attraction still be there? Reece Donnelly, Theatre School of Scotland said: “We are delighted to be working with Wonderworld this Christmas. There is so much synergy between the brands and I think every Theatre School of Scotland child has had fun in their venues at one point, so it seems proper full circle to be now creating a Christmas show with them. The show will be festive, fun and filled with lots of laughs!”
