I’d never visited London before, and Shaughan’s tour was a fantastic way to become familiar with the city and its tucked-away nooks and crannies. The book gives a great picture of the history of the areas, and focuses not just on existing buildings, but also the people who frequented the area.I have lived in London for nearly 40 years although I’m from Manchester and having finally retired I bought the books. The books are pocket sized with easy to read maps with the poi's clearly numbered and with a short description on the map page and in depth articles with colour thumbnails. Join the Thames Path as it passes Eel Pie Island, home of Ted Lasso fame and historic music legends.

Unfortunately for me, I would have preferred more of this extra information rather than the few snippets we get amongst the main directions of the walk. Use it to plan a whole week of sightseeing, or just to find the story behind one of your favourite fixtures or buildings. A private London Walk – they’re good value for an individual or couple and sensational value for a group – makes an ideal group or educational or birthday party or office (team-building) or club outing. This is one of the most beautiful hidden walks in London, with wooded areas, incredible greenery, posh park paths, great architecture, and creepy cemetery vibes.Merchandise schmerchandise (gift wrapped or not) – but giving someone an experience, now that’s special. We were in a large group and there were competing noises from traffic, sirens and building sites but Adam’s voice could clearly be heard.
