To use, apply a pea-sized amount before foundation, starting in the center of the face and blending outward. As I rubbed it on, I worried about the slippery feel of it and thought it might feel oily on my skin. The TL; DR version of HA is that it's a huge polymer (big molecule from repeated subunits) found in the skin that acts as a sponge helping the skin to hold onto water, being plump and elastic.
