About this deal

King’s Bride is a NA Dark Romantasy and the first standalone in the Chronicles of Urn series which is the prequel series to Guardians of the Maiden (YA epic dark fantasy with more romance as the series goes). I would've liked more details about the magic and how the magic system works but I assume that was covered in the previous books. I was shocked by that and instantly pulled in because how the hell is she going to feed her family with one crow? This will be our only time to ask you to consider following and reviewing as you read or following ChemistryOfLife if you are eager for more updates.

Various monsters and creatures run amuck within the castle and across Urn, and Beck does brilliantly at depicting them. Interesting world building with what feels like pieces that will connect back into later parts of the main story, while being just as good as a stand alone.bicker and banter especially with the enemies-to-lovers trope but these were really too much for me. For all ebook purchases, you will be prompted to create an account or login with your existing HarperCollins username and password. Trigger warnings: «contains explicit sexual content, adult themes, language, graphic violence, past SA trauma (the act is not shown but given to understand, and not done by the ML). Every single coded note, every day that brought something to take her father and brothers from the safety of home, and every strange man who came in the dark of night and left before sunrise. My biggest complaint regards Xara and her role as a crime lord/revolutionary, because it just wasn't believable enough.

I appreciated how Beck stayed with the basics in terms of describing genitles/private parts as there is nothing that pulls me out of the spicy scenes than some over the top term for any of the private parts. She had even imagined how it would feel to be loved, and her imagination had run away with her as she imagined exactly how her husband would look, what he would do, how he would do it, and what he would say. World building was great , I could really get a sense of where they were whether village or castle or ❤️farm❤️The smut scenes were amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed every lick of detail in them ! I love that Delton while fierce and overbearing didn’t drown Xara’s character out and she stood firmly on her own two feet when she needed to. she had the purest heart and never lost sight of her goals and would do anything to achieve her dreams and this was one of the things i admired about her character.

To exact revenge, Delton marries Princess Xara and cruelly exiles her, vowing never to fall in love. It is the first in a 5 book prequel series of standalone romantasy known as the Chronicles of Ur (CoU) set within the same world as Beck’s Guardians of the Maiden (GOTM) series.

The experience really affected her and understandably so but I still hate to see this impact, not to mention this was in the context of virginity.
