He is considered the UK Mr Shawshank having wrote over 10,000 letters to bring awareness to his wrongful plight.Kevin was an accomplished boxer and gym fighter and went on to own his own security company in the late 80's. Lane has always proclaimed his innocence despite the fact that this inevitably slows down the possibility of release as a prisoner is deemed not to have come to terms with his offence. Book was also carefully and professionally wrapt, was a very fast ship, and was in good condition as described.

In his book, Lane acknowledges previous offences which landed him behind bars as a young man but is adamant that he is innocent of the Magill murder. Had a brief catch up last year at a friends funeral and he still hasn’t become cold enough to kill ! If I were asked to pinpoint my favourite moment in the book the I would show them this excerpt; a beautifully written paragraph concerning Timion the Black and spoken by the elf Nok who is possibly my favourite character: “You judge the tree by its leaves, Holy One. The item was shipped fast and was nicely packaged in a very thick paper mailing envelope and arrived as scheduled in perfect used condition. Very good book, hopefully when appeal is won it must lead a great deal of change to legislation within law of the criminal justice system, and powers of investigation and witholding of evidence used or unused because the ultimate outcome in a court of law is supposed to be the truth and also LAW ITSELF IS SUPPOSED TO BE ON TRIAL.One can only hope that this thoroughly decent man can obtain justice and get this plain wrong conviction overturned. Panorama’s episode in May 2018, Last chance for Justice which featured Kevin’s plight, uncovered new evidence. Kudos to the author, for writing this book, publishing it and marketing it so that others can read it and learn from it. Spackman, who admitted conspiracy to steal, theft and misconduct in office, was the officer handling disclosure information in Lane’s case.
