I can be confusing that with something else, but I think our boy and our poet are two of a kind who instinctively recognize a ‘kindred spirit’ on some very basic level, but would be horrified to admit to that similarity.
I liked John McNee's blurb about it the best: "As violent and sadistic as it is wickedly satirical, Full Brutal will leave you feeling disgusted, degraded and filled with contempt for humanity. She loves deeply and Rosa is more of an example of Ruth’s already existing softness rather than recent growth. Almost like you yourself were one of Kim’s many victims going through your own demise by her soiled hands.
However, she has grown sick of her lifestyle, and she begins to develop suicidal thoughts as a result.
This can be an ideal introduction into extreme Triathlons or a less 'brutal' way to complete the Double / Triple.
I have seen this book compared to American Psycho meets Mean Girls/Heathers and I think that is a good way to describe the gist of it. Peter wasn’t trying to actually sabotage Clara as much as the fact that with his fears so close to the surface they simply leaked out with his frustration over her growing skill. When the plan works, Kim becomes excited by the feeling of ruining a person's life, so she begins to ruin and destroy the lives of those around her, including her friends. But soon, simple backstabbing is not enough to keep her excited, and she nosedives into sabotage, violence, and even murder.
