Following its 1997 release, The Fat of the Land became a global phenomenon, debuting at number one on album charts around the world and going on to sell over 10 million copies. They concluded by saying that they are dedicating the shows to late frontman Keith Flint, who passed away on March 4, 2019 after taking his own life at the age of 49. Firestarter’, the first single shared from the album, heard Keith Flint take centre stage on vocals for the first time, accompanied by a Walter Stern-directed video shot deep under the streets of London. Continuing the celebrations around the 25th anniversary of The Prodigy’s game-changing third studio album The Fat Of The Land , XL Recordings release a stacked new remix package.Of course, we all know the smash hits - the bustling, acid-flecked roll of 'Smack My Bitch Up', ultra-heavy 'Firestarter' and funky, low-slung 'Breathe' - but the set's lesser-celebrated moments, such as hip-hop jam 'Diesel Power', Meat Beat Manifesto-esque 'Serial Thrilla' and punky 'Fuel My Fire' have aged equally as well. Agree the packaging could be better and put some extras in to celebrate 25 years of the band more but I am happy overall.
