About this deal

His mom thinks video games are turning his brain to mush, so she wants her son to put down the controller and explore his 'creative side'. Rachel Chipman of the Deseret News wrote that the book would "probably not attract any new fans", while longtime fans of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series would "adore [Greg's] Halloween middle school adventures". It has a poorly written plot, you could even say there was no plot and there really wasn't the kind of "Jeff Kinney" word choice you'd see from a "Jeff Kinney" book.

We are experiencing delays with deliveries to many countries, but in most cases local services have now resumed. She takes him to her college campus for him to look around and he thinks that it's cool until it becomes overbearing. He thinks that if Rodrick is being payed to be like, how he is, they could be friends in actual life and chill. He also makes a mockery of the fact that in America, you can do anything you want if you really try. So the moms (Greg's mom and the mother of the boy who found the balloon) set up a "play date" for the boys. The Wimpy Kid books are certainly written with elementary and middle schoolers in mind, but I still enjoy them. Then he talks about the school's Balloon Brigade, which is a school contest to see how far a student's balloon can travel, and how the prize is a giant bag of candy corn. During a playdate at Maddox's house, Greg retrieves his balloon, and realizes that Maddox is not allowed to use electronics and spends his time playing with Legos. Maybe he can get his mom off his back by making a movie and even become rich and famous in the process? Greg thought Manny was a machine being controlled by a person in the background and then brings the subject that his family is robots and Greg is the only human.

As Greg and his mother formulate a new reading list, his balloon is found by a boy named Maddox, whom Susan finds to be a good role model for him. While going to get paper towels, he finds gummy worms and comes up with the idea to make a horror movie.

This book reveals that the Pig can get sick if he eats candy corn, but doesn’t get sick if he eats gummy worms. THE ONE WITH THE HALLOWEEN CANDY *The eleventh laugh-out-loud, fully illustrated bestselling Wimpy Kid book! Hopefully Kinney keeps his humor in his next book, but creates a stronger and more interesting plot. He feels guilty when he tries to see Alex Aruda's test answers, because he knows that all his relatives see him when he cheats. He talked about his process, but also why he loved comics, and how he was never going to have Greg age, because like Bart Simpson, it's better if he's perpetually the same age.

Greg is later harassed at school by the boys because they didn't like Susan's changes to the the party. Verdict : We are in for a major change in the life of Greg if there're further additions to this series. We use Google Analytics to see what pages are most visited, and where in the world visitors are visiting from.Like every other book in the Wimpy Kid series, the pace in this book is frenetic and the characters are engaging, amusing, and endlessly relatable. It is accepted by you that Daunt Books has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. There's is the most outrageous pet, the Pig, which the family adopted him since the last book ( are these considered spoilers? Greg remembers about Rodrick having a wolf mask he wore one Halloween, and he and Rowley go to the basement room to get it while trying to, the witch goes off and one of the shelves comes falling down on them.

Maddox accuses Greg of having stolen one of his Legos (one of the tiny useless blocks, which stuck to Greg's arm without him noticing, which results in his mother frisking Greg), and Susan ends the playdate in disappointment. I love how Greg is still being Greg, growing up just like one of us believing all the silly lies that adults tell and trusting his older brother, Rodrick, in all the silliest, stupidest stuffs that he keeps telling Greg (yeah we all have been there!but for kids, you know what I mean👍), the dad gets more strict, the school keeps getting harder, Rowley (his unassuming 'bestie' friend) gets more popular (of course, with the unexpected help from you-know-who! As if that’s not scary enough, Halloween’s just around the corner and the frights are coming at Greg from every angle.
