Currently we are enjoying being on the telly, an approach out of the blue two years ago which has resulted in cameras tagging along in our lives on an almost daily basis recording what we do and who we are.

The chocolate empire’s owner Christine Taylor had to carry Lady Liberty across the pond to deliver the masterpiece to the Ghost actress in 2013. As a chocolate lover, I find myself wanting to make everything all at once for all my friends and family.If Christine is the Choccy, and Christine is the Woccy, the other 43 dedicated people are the Doodahs.

Unfortunately their impact is almost completely lost amongst all the vibrant stories and art, and I found I mostly glossed over them. Or perhaps Eugenie is a Game of Thrones fan and fancies a red wedding cake like the one the team created depicting the slaughtering of a number of the show’s main characters covered in daggers and blood. While there are a lot of wonderful recipes throughout the book, there are a few that seem a little unnecessary. I hope that people think that when they come in here, because it is an adventure and it should be magical and I hope it is.Within the business my role is as Creative Director, doing {most of} the design and looking after our wedding clients. Chocoholics across the land are quietly crying into their cocos after it emerged Choccywoccydoodah has closed its doors for the last time. Choccywoccydoodah: Chocolate, Cake and Curses is a book to celebrate all things chocolate and cake from a team that have dedicated their lives to being joy-makers and cake-bakers. Accordingly, as a sale has not been concluded, the goodwill now vests with the directors personally.

I loved just having no responsibilities and throwing glitter on people and giving them too much chocolate. Interlinked with short stories about their business, it’s a perfect book to leave out for others to have a look at. Two decades into their magical career of crafting bespoke cakes and a whole range of extraordinary chocolate treats, Christine Taylor and Christine Garratt’s Choccywoccydoodah have finally released their first ever cook book – “Choccywoccydoodah: Chocolate, Cake and Curses”.

There are still so many more cakes than you can imagine being made in one day, but Christmas is full steam ahead.
