About this deal

The technical storage or access is strictly necessary for the legitimate purpose of enabling the use of a specific service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user, or for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network. Eva found this quite difficult and i'll admit I did too, until I realised that you have to almost 'screw it on' by twisting it around the nozzle. Half the fun of these toys is getting to be part of the process of making them, pumping in the stuffing, placing a loving heart inside and then of course you need to name your new companion. We tested out a Build-a-Bear Stuffing Station which features two different designs (of bear) and everything you need to create and personalise your own teddy bear at home. if you are not going to purchase anymore bears afterwards, the station is a little redundant afterwards but I’m sure most Build-A-Bear lovers will be after some more at some point!

I think it's a fab product but my only reservation is the fact that you can only make 2 bears with the kit.

The only other thing that bothered me about the stuffing station is that once you have made the two bears that come with the stuffing station it is kind of redundant unless you go out and spend more money on more bears to stuff and fill. A handy zip fastening makes closing up your bear super easy and means if your child wishes to change the picture inside their bear's heart it is really easy to do. I am sure all parents will agree that when you have children storage space is tight so having a toy taking up room that cannot be used again without an addition cost is a little frustrating. Even though there are only 2 t-shirts included in the kit, she must've got her bear changed at least 10 times in the space of about 10 minutes.

The accompanying birth certs are good and my six year old enjoyed filling his in (with a little help from me). We did find that the bear popped off the nozzle a few times as the stuffing doesn't seem to spread throughout the bear so when the bear pops off you will need to use your fingers to push the stuffing to the edges of the bear including its head, legs and arms. This added an extra element to the toy, giving it a learning aspect as well as the fun side of it all.I’ve always wanted to make my own bear as it’s such an important companion when your child so to create your own bear is amazing. At first I was worried Lamb would need a lot of assistance, but he actually managed to do most of it himself. You also get some pop out cardboard accessories and birth certificates for your bears, and of course the stuffing station itself. I was able to attach it initially but the minute the stuffing started to come out, it pretty much fell off. It didn’t matter massively as my boys liked twisting the lever and we ended up just taking the bear off and stuffing him with what was coming out of the nozzle, but in theory, it did make the stuffing station slightly redundant as we could have stuffed it from the bag directly!
