As for skincare, it makes the skin silky smooth, creates a subtle gloss and forms a protective barrier (aka occlusive). This leaves me to believe that the claim that it is suitable for all skin types is a relevant one, and that is something that my finicky combination skin greatly appreciates. It contains raspberry seed oil, known to be a source of vitamin E, which we make using raspberries leftover from the juice industry, meaning there’s less waste overall.

Just like other similar fragrance ingredients (like linalool and limonene) geraniol also oxidises on air exposure and becomes allergenic. Fragrance in the US and parfum in the EU is a generic term on the ingredient list that is made up of 30 to 50 chemicals on average (but it can have as much as 200 components! Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, it helps to protect against both indoor and outdoor pollution. It also helps to stabilize oil-water mixes (emulsions), though it does not function as an emulsifier in itself. Exactly what it sounds: nice smelling stuff put into cosmetic products so that the end product also smells nice.
The wee small hours are the prime time for our skin to regenerate and rejuvenate as it kicks the stresses of the day into touch. It does sink in pretty quickly, but until it has done so completely, it leaves a slight greasy residue.
