I am not a Bible scholar or something but recently I've finished the Holy Bible (Revised Standard Edition) from cover to cover. S. Lewis in a Time of War: The World War II Broadcasts That Riveted a Nation and Became the Classic Mere Christianity . Overall a good argument for the Christian way of life for those already converted, a little preachy for those who aren't.

Lewis makes Christianity open and easier to understand - he truly shows mere Christianity as it should be, most denominational and individual beliefs aside. At first I was very confused about some things, there was a clash in my beliefs--what is sin, confusion surrounding sex, and what God exactly is.Anyway, why make a point of changing morality though out history, and progress made in the general zeitgeist? The microphone is a limiting, and rather irritating, instrument, but the quality of thinking and depth of conviction which I find in your book ought sure to be shared with a great many other people.

But even with the certain issues I disagree with Lewis on, there is still a lot of wisdom and truth to be learned from this book. It's interesting to me that he says that he's not pointing directly to a christian God, yet he seems to use the masculine term and a single being throughout the essay.
