It was introduced by Bernard de Nonancourt in 1968 at a time when rosé champagne was largely non existent. Society hostesses adore Cuvee Rose, which is made the tricky, traditional way of allowing the red-skinned pinot noir grapes to delicately stain the juice.

An expressive, spice-accented bouquet evokes fresh raspberry, orange pith, white flowers and ginger, with a hint of rhubarb adding an earthy flourish.
