About this deal

The DCC Other User role requires authentication and verification to be done first and it’s impossible to do that over the phone for example. The only criticism with it is it doesn’t take to existing smart meters that are manufactured by themselves but given to you by your energy company. And it's obvious staff or associates are writing good reviews, and down marking genuine negative reviews.

We genuinely appreciate your patience and feedback, and we're committed to resolving this matter to your satisfaction. We understand that this may have caused frustration, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by the delay in our response. The ivie app additionally can be upgraded with live energy data when connected to an ivie Bud In-Home Display. I just talked about bluetooth and mobile app, because bluetooth is still much cheaper than wifi, so it could be use for device activation. I’m hopeful that this mechanism will encourage users to leave the ivie Bud behind when they move out, so the new owner can pick it up and set it up again.Sources: UK figures from company reports; EDF analysis; total zero carbon generation for 2022 from DESNZ Energy Trends 5. The ivie Bud in-home display clearly shows your home energy use and costs right now, so you can keep track with just a tap.But I agree that for marketing, it’s better to have a production already packaged to sell to more people. I'm not a fan of cloud things for my home anyway, and I was a little upset about having to use smartthings. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience you have faced with your ivie Bud and the connectivity issues with your smart meter(s). We value independent and authentic experiences so that everyone can form an honest and trustworthy opinion. There are also companies that sell IHDs and other types of energy monitor you can connect to your smart meter, and third-party apps that use your smart meter data (if you consent) to give you insights into your use.

I do like the the gizmo, its quite useful but Its concerning that if they go faulty there is no way of replacing it. A lack of constant Wi-Fi access will be an instant showstopper and you’ll never get the device running, while a lack of a smartphone and/or paperless billing will make the setup process a lot more difficult.

Actually, it’s much safer to run Smart Meters using a private network infrastructure that never touches the public internet. Try to delete my account and create another one,of course going worst, not let me make another account but deleted my old one, what a amazing experience. Does anyone knows if it's possible to have an opensource USB key that would just connect to the smartmeter with zigbee? We use the information that you have told us about your home, such as size, number of people, location etc. Doing it reliably is impossible for an IHD like the ivie Bud and would drain too much battery on a gas meter.
