About this deal

Go Nuts for Donuts helps to reinforce probability, visual declination and strategic thinking skills. It’s a great way of introducing blind bidding/action selection concepts to novice gamers, or for killing time among experienced gamers. You may believe that a simple little game like this does not hold much depth to it, but you would be surprised.

Whether intentional or not, this is the real clutch of the game for me, securing it a permanent place in my collection. The game is relatively quick at approximately 15-20 minutes and my kids enjoy playing this game multiple times in a night. So do you select the same card if you need to stop them, or move elsewhere if you really want to make sure you get a card. With fewer players, the negative cards and those that interact more with the other players, don’t really enter into the game. Place the stack of donuts face down to form a draw pile and reveal and place one donut into the space below each numbered counter. You will use the cards indicated for how many players you have, plus all the cards in lower count games. The more players you have, the larger the range of donuts you will have access to in Go Nuts for Donuts.

When all the selection cards have been played, and everyone has gotten a donut, or not, then everyone takes back their selection card. The donut cards offer a nice variety in the game play, allowing players to choose their strategy as they see fit.

That means that any empty spaces in the donut row are filled by drawing a new card from the deck and placing it into the vacated spot, starting with the lowest number and moving upward. Cards you’ve won are kept face up in front of you for all to see (and steal, if special card powers allow).
