It is possible to book tours of the winery owned by Gonzalez Byass, producers of Croft, in Croft’s hometown of Jerez, Spain. With a great marketing vision, this entrepreneur named these sweet wines from the south of Spain “Bristol Milk”, because they were offered as the best possible food for newborn babies and mothers of young children. Pale gold and bright in colour, Croft Original has a rich, smooth, delicately sweet palate with an intense, aromatic finish. Gonzalez Byass was founded in 1835 in the town of Jerez, Andalucia, in southern Spain by Manuel M Gonzalez. Croft sherries combine the depth and sweet finish of a Cream with the crisp features of a quality Fino.

Gonzalez Byass owns 850 hectares of vineyards, all situated in the best area of Jerez, known as Jerez Superior. Once the grapes are harvested, sherry production starts life like any white wine – with the grapes pressed and fermented.
