The keyboard feels a bit light when compared to more robust typing units, but only serious typists should look elsewhere. In addition, I think Acer has the display brightness icons backwards on the F3 and F4 keys and for no apparent reason. The Acer Aspire Vero isn’t a gaming laptop, but in use, its abilities don’t seem all that different to a PS4. Acer has also found a way to employ more recycled packaging, now using up to 90% recycled paper as well as 100% recycled polyester used for the protective laptop sleeve and keyboard sheet.

All in all, the Aspire Vero looks nice, it’s environmentally sound, and feels pleasing and solid to the touch. Steps are taken to reduce our carbon footprint by recycling and reusing the scrap material generated during production and using 100% recyclable packaging. There’s hardly anything to choose between the Acer and its rivals at the checkout, but in other departments, it’s easier to pick the notebooks apart. The yellow highlights continue on the bottom panel with yellow feet and on the two keys of the keyboard, which I’ll get to shortly.It features a roomy if somewhat dim display and a comfortable if somewhat quirky keyboard wrapped up in a youthful, eco-friendly design.
