I tried to really pack it on, but as it was hard to see on me, I was only able to guess that it was still on after seven hours (I looked for a sheen coming through, since it did have a mattifying effect that I could detect). Iconic shades include a range of translucent, natural tones, each with a subtle pink undertone for a natural-looking blush to highlight the complexion.

One brand that always reels me back in, though, is Nars Cosmetics - by far, they are my favourite for blushes. Otherwise for me without the golden shimmer this pinky peach blush would be perfect because sometimes you don't want a definite pink or a peach but this pinky peach colour is in between. I first heard about it when I read an interview with Blake Lively's makeup artist who said that's what she used on her and I was SOLD.

Known for its no-rules attitude to self-expression, the brand’s colourful cosmetics range is doing the most. However, on my cheeks, Sex Appeal has a tendency to pull a bit pink so after all colorwise, they are more similar on cheeks than they look in swatches on my particular skin tone (NC25). It's more powdery than the others, but it doesn't ever become cakey or emphasize peach fuzz, in my experience. This is perfect for the ultra-lightskinned like me :) I don't normally wear peachy colors but this one is a big exception.It looks neutral on, blends well and adds just the right amount of color when you have paler than pale skin like me. The blushes come with an handy mirror within the lid, and the lid closes really well and securely, and I’ve never had any issues with my NARS Blushes breaking or getting damaged so they’re perfect for popping in your makeup bag. The high-intensity hues are nothing to be afraid of - a light application delivers an ultra-sheer finish that can be layered up for a bold pop of colour. The pigmentation is powerful, especially with some of the darker shades and building light layers is the best way to get a flattering finish, rather than adding too much, too soon.

I didn't swatch it yet, but I had a tiny flake of the product coming off from the corner of the pan. I love the amazing soft focus it lends to my cheeks whenever I apply it, giving me cheeks that look like a glowy fuzzy peach (does that make sense? I'm sure that this colour will flatter most skin tones and the formula is so soft and buttery, that it's hard not to love.
