The system performs at its maximum advertised frequency during the test, and I don’t any obvious bottleneck shere. Especially, since I’m running my own K3S cluster with 1x Jetson nano as the master and 3x RPi-8GB nodes, the NanoPi-R5S really rings a bell to me that it would be a great K3S node.

After the OS begins to load, if the system LED is flashing and the network LED is on, it means the the OS has loaded successfully. In case you’ve an RPi 15W USB-C power brick lying around I would appreciate a test (since this thing being less expensive than any USB PD charger and most probably the best piece of hardware ever manufactured by RPi Trading Ltd. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.At first I was concerned about the bad ramlat perf report that could have indicated a deeper issue, but that’s just due to a missing gcc optimization. If your main network is IPv4, and NanoPi-R5S works in IPv6, the computer may not be able to connect to the Internet.

So I understand the 2-pin connector is just for the battery, and HYM8563TS is on-board already, but this would have to be confirmed. Meanwhile Antonio has been downloading the latest 2022 OpenWrt(with Docker) and other software, it seems the WIKI is slightly out of date but new versions of operating systems are available for the R5S.Das Gerät ist auch schnell genug für meine Bedürfnisse und ich habe keine Verzögerungen oder Verlangsamungen festgestellt.

One of the four rear leds is flashing (sys) – the others are WAN, LAN 1 and 2 LAN2 (The connector marked WAN is Gbps speed, the two LAN ports are 2. So if I want to setup Home Assistant running on a Docker container and use 1* Z-Wave USB-stick and 1* Zigbee USB-stick can I expose both of them to the Home Assistant Docker container? To flash the system files to the eMMC Chip, you need to use the eFlasher (eMMC-flasher) utility and burn the data to the microSD card image. Values in this field link to pages explaining in detail what is unsupported and why, what the concequences are and what you can do about it.On the top side you can see the 2GB RAM, the 3x network PHYs under the ports, the SoC which comes with a silicon thermal pad and the RK809 PMIC.

I tried that and generally had problems with picking right IP addresses for the ethX interfaces: I needed to specify either a static one or a DHCP and neither of those makes sense or is necessary for bridging AFAIU (the bridge interface it’s the only one that should have an IP address). Obviously if there’s something odd going on with the hardware it’s running on, you’re going to get poor results. I’m able to make connections to and from the DietPi host, but the traffic switching part doesn’t seem to be working: From a laptop connected over a wire to the NanoPi, I’m able to ssh into DietPi, but I’m not able to reach either my network router, nor the public internet. Switching from vendor to mainline u-boot often caused performance regressions (CPU cores and/or RAM clocked way lower).to go into the graphical desktop – works perfectly but SLOWLY and I have one remaining issue – after a while the graphical screen times out – and asks for username and password – user is pi but it will not accept the default password – I need to stop that happening. Major downside: you need a lot of patience since after adjusting settings it requires a long(er) time span for the new averaged consumption value to settle. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I honestly don’t know here though, but if this is the performance they can offer, then this is not worth being used as a network appliance. I’m looking for a relatively simple and affordable way to set up a control, especially parental control, for a home network.
