I think your review of the X750 is spot on, these pens offer an inexpensive entry into the world of fountain pens with a look and feel that belies their cost. We always recommend you give your pen a good cleaning first, using our Goulet Pen Flush, or a drop of dish soap in some water. jinhao nibs are great, the flow tends to be kind of inconsistent though, starting hyper wet and then getting dryer and dryer.

For someone new to italic nibs, the moderate flow will make writing more controlled so that’s a plus.
