All throughout the book Keller the MC is described as a really skilled enforcer who kills men without qualms when needed. Characters though easy to like are yet so unrealistic you feel like you are watching Disney barbie show. The future of his organization depends on his arranged marriage but resisting Rosa is almost impossible and he cannot bear the thought of her marrying another man.

The author currently makes her home in the United Kingdom, where she lives with her husband, her son, and their little rescue dog.They instantly have chemistry, and the spice starts off pretty early so this is by no means a slow burn romance. There were some scenes it definitely gave me the ick but nothing you can just keep reading, also one trope inserted almost at the end that it’s just not for me truly put me off but other than that it was a great book, read at an excellent time. Jade came running back past the net and two hellhounds chasing her trying to rip her to nothing, she slipped and the hellhound clawed jade in the neck and almost killed her, Malia came running back with Isaac with another 2 hellhounds chasing them Isaac jumped over the net and Derek and I caught one hellhound in the net and the other ran away. Yet for this book to have an even blend of sport (boxing), mafia elements, love, spice, humor, and unique characters, I can say I enjoyed the aspects of it all. One thing happened where I personally thought because of Keller’s demanding and protective personality should have been done differently.

I couldn’t make it past the 30% mark (and I only read till there cause I forced myself to make sure). The characters are brought to life by the author and the story line was exciting and flowed beautifully. That was gross and honestly considering the vibe was “touch her and die” and “secret golden retriever” I would’ve expected him to do the opposite of what he did. If you’re going to have a hero do something so disgusting then you better make the grovel worth it and to me it was super sub par.

Thankfully she walks away from that view and from him for good but of course he wants to weasel his way back to her. She too hasn’t had the best childhood and now she wants to help other children in similar situations to herself and Keller.
