The programme is not true, though I think many of the ideas and characteristics of Jon and Lucy are close. I'm not overly familiar with Beaumont as I don't necessarily enjoy most Radio 4 comedy, and this was a light-hearted read with one or two memorable anecdotes and a fair bit of filler. Each relatable aspect and upside down moment has been included in this and it really is a perfect read.
