This running tally is in contrast to the physical game where VP are not tallied until the very end of the game leaving you in suspense as to how well you and your opponents are doing however the inclusion of a toggle option to provide this information throughout will suit some players and can be a big aid for beginners learning how to play and score well.

Because, in Concordia, it doesn’t only matter how much of something you possess at the end of the game that determines how much VP you score for it but it is also multiplied by the number of the matching God you have on your cards. Now, this doesn’t cut you off completely–you can still build after someone in a city–but it costs more, sometimes making those precious turns of saving up fruitless.

They place a good token in each province matching the most expensive good produced by that province. When you use the prefect action, you choose a province (out of 12 on the main game board), and get the resource shown, plus all of the cities in that province produce resources for the people who have buildings there.
