About this deal

Despite the number of ingredients listed above, it is not that complex - which is the virtue for this scent, simplicity is elegance.

I’d agree with what other reviewers say that this is not the kind of fragrance that screams, not the “look at me” kind of way. Edit: 18 hours later, I decided to wear it as my SOTD and I'm stunned with how refreshing, classy and beautiful this release is.It's not bad but there are a lot of other fragrances of this type I would reach for first such as Mugler Cologne. It's rather minimalistic, so probably not interesting for someone whose nose needs to be entertained with development and nouances, but for a normal user it's a great style accessory. Lavender, spice, tonka and still that vetiver (listed as a basenote but it's pure vetiver in the opening, if you ask me). I agree it's nothing groundbreaking, but it is surely one of the best frags for office use from the mainstream offer nowadays.

I imagine myself using this on summer during daytime or perhaps on the early evening, dressed casual sport (white/light color shirt, some linen pants and loafer shoes), on a pub next to the beach with a cocktail in hand.On the plus side, it is available very inexpensively and the presentation is attractive in a standard Bvlgari way. I get a whole lot of tea and grapefruit which is very light and lifting, on a warm day when I catch a whiff of this it is calming and enjoyable. Now with these absurd reformulations turned him into an odorless water, I almost feel no fragrance in it . A woody undertone becomes more apparent after a few minutes, along with the more metallic nature of the added grapefruit, and more musk. Cavallier-Belletrud's works especially for this House, imperceptible as individuals yet their additions are what makes this a flawless silk and velvet tapestry, as opposed to a flashy silk screen on simple material.

Spice, pepper, lemon, tea, crystal clear glacer water, parchment, fresh open air with dominant office appeal. Aldehydes add an airiness (as opposed to an expanding sparkle) while orange and bergamot add the needed citricity (and not a drop more) to attenuate the tea and petit grain; as they perfectly dissolve into leaf-tinged powdery floral notes of lavender and neroli closing a veritable perfect circle of clean, sans any of the usual soapy associations. Rate it: 9/10, very classy, though the silage could be a bit better but it’s not a weak fragrance in any way! This was THE fragrance, back in 1997, that really roped me in to the game; that made "colognes", fragrances.
