This tent has excellent space and many great features like the fully sewn in groundsheet, storage pockets, windows and the nightfall inner. The sleeping area can be divided into two bedrooms, giving you some privacy and separation from the kids.

We camp with friends who are more hardened and have a smaller more practical tent - ours becomes the one we gravitate to when it's cold and/or raining as there's space in the front area for chairs. If you're the kind of family that brings everything and the kitchen sink, you'll probably only manage four people at the very most. It has been reissued for the new camping season in a subtle, darker green colourscheme, to even better blend in with your camping environs.If you plan to camp in cooler weather, this Kampa camping heater is more than recommended to fight cold and condensation. There are quite a few options, that’s why I prefer 5-berth tents over the 4-berth tents, and, in some cases, they can be more versatile than a 6-berth tent.

I think I would change it for a different one if I could, the step is such a danger and the non blackout bedrooms are annoying, but the space is perfect for one or two people. Had a large camp bed in the larger bedroom, actually a fishing bed, which was very comfortable, with clothes and towels. We are experienced campers, never had a tent that had so many problems with design and poor workmanship. One thing I keep seeing in reviews of this tent is that it's a great weekend tent or short stay tent? But it hasn’t gone to tent heaven, it has found a new lease of life with our friends and their two young sons who are new to camping. One of the poles developed a small crack after about a year but we just wrapped some duct tape around it and never had another issue.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The tent has two zipped full mesh doors, providing an entrance at the front and side of the tent, and two zipped half mesh inner doors, offering extra privacy. The breathable inner fabric allows for condensation to pass through, ensuring that you stay dry and comfy. I feel that the front flap should have a zip so it could be lowered for access or raised for bad weather.Effective venting and a breathable inner avoid stuffiness inside, and 'comfort colours' (darker over the bedroom) mean there's no rush to get out of an overheating tent on bright mornings. As we had predicted this from other peoples reviews we had pulled the ground sheet and carpet back from near the front doors (to keep them dry). As for camping in hot or cold weather, well, bad news, polyester does not have great thermal properties: it won’t keep you cool when it’s hot outside and and won’t keep you warm when it’s cold outside.
