Googling the subject is great, but this book filters out a lot of the info that can be confusing and explains things very clearly and simply. I’ve only had one time that made me think wow my hair feels fabulous and clean and I want to scream it to the world, but the rest of the time my hair is thick, greasy and waxy with brittle dry ends and always in knots! There is so much information (and also a lot of misinformation) it makes for disorganised reading and is hard to refer to on your No Poo journey. I also use a lot of coconut oil – for deodorant, toothpaste, moisturiser, (and cooking), and lemongrass is my favourite essential oil.Despite the formatting I would recommend this book, I am sure that once released it will have good formatting. i have been afraid to brush my hair thinking that it would look terribly greasy, which is a look that i cant pull of at work. I am definitely going shampoo and conditioner free and will tell all my clients with the same problem about your book! While I think this book is likely aimed at early years readers in the age 3-6 range, I think it could be a valuable opportunity for teachers of older students to introduce discussions about race, diversity and inclusion. Hello Hair features 100 illustrated children’s hairstyles ranging from afros, braids, twists, locs and more! Whether it was Essence, Ebony, Hype Hair or Sophisticate Black Hair, they all contributed to the culture! This would be a great book to have on a classroom library shelf so kids can look through and see themselves, and all types of people, on the page.
