About this deal

Two channel output jacks are available allowing for deep, sweeping, stereo chorus effects with the space synthesis system.

The BOSS CE-5 chorus pedal gives you all of the chorus sounds you could ask for in a compact and hardy package. You’ll also find a DEPTH knob that allows you to set the extremity of the chorus effect – turning this clockwise will deepen the effect while turning anti-clock wise gives you a shallower chorus sound. These samples were recorded straight into a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 in mono using a simple, clean amp and cab simulator VST with all settings set at 12 o'clock. I'm not the biggest fan of Boss pedals, but I do have a couple of favourites, and the CH-1 Chorus is definitely one of them.

Please give us the reason for your assessment in the following text box and – if possible – your e-mail address for further questions. Whether you are looking for natural chorus to a large, wide stereo chorus, CE-5 has all the tools you will need. That’s all well and good, but the CE-2 was discontinued in 1982, and although the CE-2w seeks to recreate that iconic sound, it’s far from the only option on the table.

Andertons Music Company acts as a credit broker and not a lender and only offers credit products from Secure Trust Bank PLC trading as V12 Retail Finance. In the middle is a Switch which if you set it to the far left, you get the CE-2 classic sound, Put the switch in the middle and you get the Boss CE-1 sound, then on the right you the CE-1 Vibrato only (So no Dry signal). The Boss CH-1 Super Chorus is a great all-purpose chorus pedal thanks to it super clean and clear tone and wide frequency range.Launched in 1976, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was not only the world’s first chorus effect pedal, but also the very first BOSS pedal. Our TOP 5 gear Reviews of 2023- on Strymon Brig dBucket Review – The perfect delay for every Occasion? While it sounds great in mono (Output A alone), plugging Output B into a second amp increases the depth of the effect and vastly increases the breadth of your guitar tone. You can be sure that however much you drop it, kick it, throw it and jump on it, it'll still come back for more. If your after a good sounding more subtle chorus for mostly overdrive tones then this is a good choice but if you're after something like a deep 80s sounding clean tone chorus then id say theres probably better options out there.

Enter the Boss CE-2w, which has not only been a revelation for me personally, but is extremely impressive from an objective review opinion. Never tried it stereo with two amps, only tried in stereo into digital amps, which make volume adjustments far easier than real tube amps, so would be curious to see how that volume knob helps! In 2016, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of BOSS innovation, the original analog chorus sounds are now reborn with the Waza Craft CE-2W. The Boss CH-1 Super Chorus pedal gives you a classic, clean chorus sound with beautifully clear highs and an incredible stereo effect. The BOSS CH1 Super Chorus enables brilliant, clear sounds thanks to its EQ controller, but other, softer settings are of course possible.

Also, the layout of the 2 outputs are positioned very close together making it tough to use with certain cables like the patch cables I'm currently using. This single EQ control is essentially an overall chorus effect tone control that dials back the CH-1’s edgy nature. Boss chorus effects are extremely popular in the musical industry and are a staple on the board of guitarists like Andy Summers - ( The Police), Yngwie Malmsteen and Brian Welch - ( Korn), helping to create their own signature sound. When you increase the depth, it increases the intensity of the effect, making it sound as if there are more of the same instrument.
