About this deal

Another good thing about the fittings supplied with the HOMOZE expandable garden hose is that they are adjustable and therefore you can connect to 1”, ¾”, and ½” faucets with very little fuss and no need to go out and buy extra fittings. One of the best things about expandable garden hoses is how much space they save in the garden. The Homeme Strong Expandable Garden Hose is no exception; it even comes with its own compact storage bag so it can be hung out the way. If you’re looking for a longer hose option, the HmiL-U Expandable Garden Hose should certainly be on your radar. It’s one of the best hoses for bigger gardens, making it easy to water the front garden too, measuring 45 m when extended. IN-1 FUNCTIONALITY - The 2 pipe connectors can be attached to the faucet and the garden hose. There are another 2 brass fittings that can connect with 1/2" and 3/4" faucets according to your demand. Free spray nozzle with 9 patterns (SHOWER - CONE - JET - SOAKER - ANGLE - MIST - CNETER - FULL - FLAT) supports all your needs including gardening, watering, cleaning pets and washing your car or home cleaning. It’s constructed from hard-wearing triple latex, has an elasticated outer coating, and features high-quality, sturdy brass fittings that are easy to connect.

But getting to the crux of the test – the hose flexibility. I have to say when these first arrived in the UK they were pretty spindly. Since testing and R & D has happened they are now three layers of flexi PVC – this is a long way forward from where they were right at the beginning. For most medium-size gardens, a 30 m expandable hose will be perfect. These hoses only measure around 10 metres long when not in use, so, as you can imagine, they’re easy to store and help with conserving storage space. In a large garden, a 45 m hose will give you plenty to work with. These retract down to approximately 15 m. Cheaper hoses tend to burst and split easier and you might find yourself shelling out for a replacement sooner than anticipated. The spray gun tends to be lower quality too. Go for a model with brass fittings. Though not the hose, the sprinkler will be a big deal for you – it’s lovely and if you’ve only ever used a sprinkler with a lever, this variable control will be a big step up.It’s worth bearing in mind that expandable hoses can be less durable than traditional ones. They need to be made from materials that facilitate the expansion and contraction of the hose, which means they can’t always be as tough as traditional plastic ones. Signs of Good Quality The majority of hosepipes have a seam running down their centre, which can be a weak point liable to leaking; however, the LUFENG Expandable Garden Hose has been created seamlessly, eliminating this potential weakness. So why is this model so much cheaper than the others we have reviewed above?
Well, for one thing, the fittings and connectors on this expandable hose are all made out of plastic instead of brass which obviously lowers the cost to the manufacturers and therefore reduces the price we have to pay as customers.

This product is another one that has been made with durability in mind and sports the same kind of dual layer latex with tightly knitted, fabric coating as other quality models. Some hoses also state a maximum pressure that they can withstand in the instructions. Failure to keep to this pressure may result in leaks or even in the hose bursting.Similarly, look for a more durable hose if you will be pulling it across hard surfaces such as concrete, or using it frequently to clean your car, garden furniture or patio. A more durable design will cope better with the wear and tear inflicted by these hard surfaces. However, if you simply need to water a few flower beds or pots then a less durable option will be fine for your needs. It’s a durable and flexible hose pipe, manufactured using modern materials which lead to it weighing only 1.25 kg. Given that hoses get heavier when full of water, starting with such a light base can be invaluable. The Ansio expandable hose comes with a 9 spray setting spray gun offering you decent versatility. There are lighter sprays for watering plants and bathing the dog, and more focused jets for cleaning off harder surfaces. Standard ¾” screw fittings come supplied, which are made of good quality brass, but you will need to buy a connector if you have an older ½” faucet. The next thing you’ll notice is the lovely brass connectors. Or at least I did when compared to the other fitments I have around the garden. This is a really nice piece of kit.

Whether you’re watering plants, cleaning the patio or hosing out the guttering, you’ll find a suitable setting with the HOSE-PRO’s 8-option spray head. It can produce a range of mists, sprays and jets, suitable for a number of domestic tasks. Always read the instructions that come with your hose and follow them closely. Not doing so could shorten the working life of the product or impair its functions.
Pay close attention to where the hose is lying as some rough surfaces can cause damage to through excessive friction and the same is true for sharp corners and edges.
Many expandable hoses are not supposed to be used with hot water either as this too will damage them. Storing an expandable hose.
When storing an expandable hose for winter, much like a normal hose reel, it is important that you fully drain it of water as any left inside the hose can freeze and cause damage to the hose itself. Storing your hose in a carry bag that keeps it from being affected by the cold too much will ensure that you will have a fully functioning garden tool to work with next time the sun arrives. Expandable hose FAQ This is a great bit of kit to service awkward spots in the garden. I use these to get to the hard to reach spots, and the last ten metres of my garden by connecting it to a standard hose. This has served me pretty well and I am far more happy with the weight of this product and ease of movement than a conventional hose. It allows so much more comfort and therefore less energy required to get the watering sorted! If you’re not at full strength you will super appreciate this piece of watering kit.The 9-pattern spray head offers a lot of power when needed, but is also capable of producing a light mist – perfect for delicate flowers and shrubs. It’s light, weighing only 2.3 kg, and you don’t feel like you’re partaking in resistance-training as you move it around your garden. Even so, it’s still made of sturdy stuff. This spray gun connector, despite my reservations about the material used, is actually very solid and has a fixed in filter to help prevent water leaking out. Several of my customers have used this particular model for a while and I haven’t heard a single complaint about leaking being a problem so it seems to be doing the job it was intended for. Here we cover some of the frequent and common sense questions put to us. I was surprised at how many requests I’ve had so shall begin to build you an FAQ here over the coming months. Hope this helps 🙂 Can I join two expandable hoses together?
