Smokerig offers a few different options for the Go-Anywhere. I decided I would go for the ‘ Triple Action‘ which basically gets you 2 Half-Width Planchas & One Half Width Grate. The reason I went for this option was the different cooking configurations it would provide. May I suggest you join this Facebook group, spend an hour scrolling and seeing what people are doing with their Go Anywhere’s? There’s some awesome cooks that will show you how capable it is…and if you’re into this sort of thing, some epic mods and accessories people have made up to increase its versatility! Facebook group — Weber GA Life. The handle is covered for 5 years, not counting cosmetic issues like fading and discoloring. Everything else (dampers, grate, legs, etc.) is warrantied for 2-years. You can fit six to eight burgers on this BBQ at any one time. It took less than 10 minutes to cook four burgers on this BBQ, and they turned out very juicy. The whole barbeque is weather-proof and rust-resistant, with a porcelain-enamel coating on thesteel lid and bowl, and a durable triple-plated steel cooking grate.

Besides the burgers, we cooked some tomato and herb chipolata sausages. These are thin, so bear in mind they didn't take as long to cook as a normal sausage would. The design of the grille surface makes both traditional barbecue cooking and grilling possible. Alternatively, put the lidon and you have a small gas oven that you can use to cook larger pieces of meat, or practically anything. The total cooking area on that grille is 406 square centimetres (160 square inches). The bowl and lid are both porcelain-enamelled, and the lid has three heatproof glass-reinforced nylon handles. There’s a simple push button ignition switch, so you don’t have to worry about matches to light the gas. The grate itself is also porcelain-enamelled and there’s one stainless steel burner to create the cooking heat. Previous versions of this grill had a Weber flavorizer plate — basically a metal shield that covered the bottom — and a wire-type grate. The idea was that grease drippings would ignite on the hot flavorizer plate, add flavor to your meat, and burn off. It worked OK but also seemed to increase the risk of grease flareups. The Weber Go Anywhere is a fantastic portable BBQ. I have owned it for around a year now and have no regrets. It has great build quality and design. I can see this BBQ lasting me for many years! It’s very portable and has a decent amount of space inside it to keep charcoal, fire lighters, gloves, tongs, etc. Everything you need to get the thing going. The legs raise it enough off the ground to avoid scorching and they flip round to secure the lid to enable you carry the whole thing as a single unit. There are people doing all sorts of weird and wonderful things with it, including building spacers and attachments to make it a smoker, adding rotisseries and more. It’s a wealth of information and ideas.Good Cook Area – I like the rectangular design on this portable BBQ. Makes it easy to set up indirect and direct cooking zones if required; This go anywhere bbq has been transformational to my enjoyment of the outdoors. Having always relied on disposable bbq’s and their limitations, this product is so much better suited to proper barbecuing. So-called portable barbecues are often portable in name only — they’re still too big and bulky to be practical. Or, they’re flimsy and useless (yes, we’re talking about you, disposable foil barbecue) and give you more frustration than food. Char-Broil Grill2Go X200 Gas Grill— The Char-Broil Grill2Go X200 is a bit bigger than the competition here, but it’s still very portable. If you want just a bit more grilling space than the Weber Go-Anywhere’s 160 square inches, the X200’s 200 square inches stainless steel grilling grate gives you a bit more room to work. Better yet, the X200 is rugged with stainless steel latches.
