Throughout the season, our kit and retail partner Castore will release commemorative kits that pay tribute to the rich heritage and success this club has been built on. These kit launches will be further complemented by special edition training wear, leisure wear and retro items for all ages. Rangers would like to warmly thank our partners 32Red, Seko, Utilita, Tomket and Bitci for being part of our anniversary season and for allowing the heritage inspired Gallant Pioneers kit to be sponsorless. Developed in close collaboration with Castore, for this special edition kit, our 150th anniversary ribbon which displays “1872” and “2022” has been added underneath the crest. As announced in this month’s MyGers newsletter, our junior supporters can win the chance to celebrate another important birthday – Broxi’s! We will be hosting a MyGers exclusive party that will allow our youngest fans to celebrate the club turning 150 with Broxi Bear. As an extra special touch, the words “Gallant Pioneers” have been embossed into the fabric to immortalise the great Bill Struth’s quote:“No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome. That has been the philosophy of the Rangers since the days of the gallant pioneers.”
RANGERS are today delighted to announce a new partnership with leading Scotch Whisky distiller, blender and bottler Douglas Laing & Co. The outfield kit is a classic white design as a homage to our first team photograph in 1877 whilst the goalkeeper kit is a soft shade of blue, inspired by bluebells.
150 Anniversary | Rangers Football Club
Season 2021/22 has already featured many special moments for the 150th anniversary including historical friendlies with Arsenal and Real Madrid, the re-introduction of live concerts to Ibrox and the unveiling of commemorative crests that have been worn on our kits. I believe it speaks volumes for the contribution Rangers has made to our nation in a positive sense over these years that the club is being recognised in this manner, and we look forward to promoting the good name of Rangers even further this evening to invited guests from across the political spectrum, as well as wider society.” And club chairman Douglas Park insists it will be huge for the club as he promised supporters will be at the centre of it. The shirt features an off-centre, buttoned collar which featured prominently on our first kits within the 1800s. Supporters are at the heart of everything we do at Rangers, and that will be no different as we mark our 150th year.

Special kits will also be released by Castore and here are plans for a series of commemorative events and a Rangers museum at the new Edmonton House being built beside the stadium.
