As pictures of Roxxi and Nevra started to leak in May, I truly did not know how I felt about these dolls. For some reason, Nevra’s face reminds me of Treasures Cloe/Sasha or Twiins (First Edition) Roxxi’s screening but with the closed mouth mold? The set is a collaboration between MGA Entertainment, LGBTQ+ fashion designer Jimmy Paul and licensed lifestyle manufacturer Difuzed. The JimmyPaul dolls also come with Pride-themed accessories like a megaphone, fan, a classic Bratz water bottle, bracelets, hair clips, a champagne bottle, champagne glasses, and—of course—picket signs. The artwork also features Roxxi and Nevra’s icons to represent their “Spice” and “Queen Bee” nicknames.

Ever since the first pictures of the Bratz x JimmyPaul Pride 2-Pack leaked back in May, social media has been in a frenzy with opinions about this collab!Nevra came onto the scene a year prior and has since been commended for her glam and confident style.

Nevra wears an a-symmetrical glitter top, flared pants with printed Bratz graphics, a full-length faux fur rainbow coat, LGBTQ+ buttons on her hat, female symbol earrings, and shoes adorned with the Progress flag. The skirt also features a heart-shaped pin with the trans flag colors and a pink triangle-shaped pin, the latter having been a badge of shame in Nazi concentration camps before being reclaimed by the LGBT+ community in the 1970s. The exclusive, limited-edition premium-wear Jimmy Paul collection will also be available starting on June 1 on jimmypaul. And, if this release is successful, hopefully we will get more LGBT+ dolls from the brand in the future.
