About this deal

For me, best results seemed to be achieved placing the barrel about 2 inches above the chronograph and about 6 inches in front. This is especially important with FX Airguns that allow the ability to tune, change calibers, and change barrel liners. The app also lets you create a unique profile for each gun, copy readings to the clipboard, and connect to instructional videos on FX’s support pages.

Would you prefer to remove the rear compressed air reservoir and shoot using only the front reservoir? You still need to use the existing Chronograph barrel mount that comes with your Chronograph and elastic bands. The Pocket Chronograph is perfect for archery, CO2 rifle and pistols, airsoft, slingshot, paintball and more. is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, register number 689922 and act as a credit broker and not a lender. Also the take up will be thousands of people so be patient, and yep, this is a first, manufacturers sending updates for free, that's the way to do it!

I think the FX Chrony is good for measuring barrel velocity, but limitations in the size of the unit and power requirements make it a poor candidate for a BC calulator. Knowing that it only records speed at such short distance from the muzzle will make any BC calculation extremely inaccurate. So to calculate a velocity at the muzzle, it's got to take the velocity at x yards and use a calculation to figure out what it would have been doing at the muzzle. I know what you are going to say move the chrony up and down the barrel until it reads constantly but it doesn't.

You’ll happily scrap your old chronograph and easily place this chronograph in your gun case, or just literally slip it into your pocket! This is an ideal cable for charging a mobile phone or tablet or any type of chronograph or chronograph display screen. Raider03, yes the power is not enough for longer ranges and the it would also need a horn antenna that focuses the signal in a more narrow cone. In practise, I don't need that kind of accuracy, and I prefer to have all the functionality and convenience at a fraction of the cost. Although there was a consistent 11 FPS difference between the 2 units, they were consistently giving the same spread from shot to shot. The app (available for both iOS and Android) does more than just show the feet per second of the projectile. Steinert Sensing makes the Superchrono, which uses acoustic sensors to track the sound waves from the projectile.

The chronograph radar unit is very compact and has an advantage over the previous FX model and that it’s doesn’t require batteries just a lead and charger which isn’t supplied. I want to really thank all of you on AGN, I get some very good advice, especially from those of you that read the manuals, my man card won't let me, I have a wife for that. I have come to the conclusion it seems quite accurate and provided its somewhere between an inch and 3 inch from the end of the muzzle the readings are not affected. Yes, no sensitivity settings needed as it seamlessly reads any projectile between 400 to 4000 fps without pressing any button. Introducing the new FX Pocket Chronograph v2; a wireless radar chronograph that is both portable and packed with features. Both portable and packed with features, the Wireless Chronograph communicates via Bluetooth to your smartphone. As it happens, just prior to publication, FX have released an update that offers a more intuitive means of accessing gun profiles, velocity information in all units of measurement, and hurrah; the Max/Min/Av velocity and ES/SD figures. This replaces my older Mk2 chronograph and I was immediately surprised at just how compact it is (1/2 the size of the old unit?
