Not sure if this has anything to do with (A) the Acer monitors being incompatible with the HP DisplayLink or my MacBook Pro or (B) the cables I am using affecting the setup (dual sided HDMI and DisplayPort cables for the set up that works vs two HDMI/Displayport cables for the set up that does not work).

Ensured latest drivers are installed including the DisplayLink manager, which shows the hub, and “No display detected” under it.
