About this deal

Sometimes—SPOILER ALERT—you're the subject of a nationwide manhunt, you've fled to frosty New Hampshire, and you're about to intentionally reveal your location to your family and law enforcement officials. However, for a blended scotch (and they are blended for a reason- namely to make them smoother, and less constrained by any single characteristic) Dimple Pinch is high on the charts, and has been since my the days of my Father and his Father, etc. Please take a minute to join our VIP list to receive updates and exclusive perks just for being part of our family! For value though this is actually a damn good blended scotch for under 40 bucks – and that’s always welcome news to the lounge. Dimple Pinch's unmistakable triangle-shaped bottle was patented in 1958—actually the first glass container to be registered as a trademark in the United States.

On it’s own it’s a great looking scotch, it’s blended but everything is at least 15 years, and overall it would do well here. Overall: This starts very strong, flush with classic sherry aromas and dense candy-like caramels but then appears confused on the tongue and downright absent on the finish. First released in the early 1890's this modern and peaty whisky is just as famous for its triangular, dimpled bottle. I drink mainly single malts like Lagavulin 16, Talisker, HP, and Laphroaig 18 being among my favorites. Walt favors Scotch, but elsewhere in the Breaking Bad universe, tastes in whiskey run closer to home.Is it possible for anyone to give any advice about the differences for example between dimple and chivas or the others like black label oh and the gentlemen jack(never tried)? This light body dram is probably perfect for summer and will work well for introducing a newbie to whisky. I have to wonder if the UK name “Haig Dimple” – a reference to the “dimple” in the center of the eccentric round bottle – was renamed to “Haig Dimple Pinch” when it was released in the US because marketers assumed that Americans didn’t know what a “dimple” was?

Dimple Haig, or Dimple Pinch, first came to market in 1893 at a time when demand for blended Scotch whisky was expanding in all directions. uk accepts no liability for inaccuracies or misstatements about products by manufacturers or other third parties. I'm not mad at it, but this is definitely a pour on ice and share with somebody who wants a scotchy scotchy scotch scotch experience. Taste: This is a real man’s whiskey which despite a 15 year age statement can assault the taste buds with a 43% alcohol burn at first. This scotch was clearly styled for the occasional, non-serious scotch fan, who wants a smooth taste, no alcohol bite, and lots of Juicy Fruit gum sweetness. I dont think it is as bad as the review states, but then again I will take a good beer over a scotch. From these humble beginnings, Haig Whisky quickly rose to become one of the most successful and popular Scotch whiskies in the world before falling into decline some 30 years ago as it left the Haig family ownership and was passed through a series of multinational drinks companies.

What they Say: “The rich and smooth aroma of Dimple Pinch celebrating more than 350 years of unbroken Scotch whisky tradition. I think the only exception I took to your review was that you compared the bottle unfavorably to "Cutty". Dimple Pinch, for those not familiar, is an extremely mild blended whiskey with a few centuries' worth of roots in Scotland.

Over 300 years of distilling and blending xperience have ensured the perfection of this most distinguished deluxe scotch whisky. If you are a serious drinker and want to avoid the crappy hangover of the previously mentioned, Pinch is the best. I could use a cute metaphor like a kiss on a porch, but honestly this finished disappears in seconds. A firm believer in progress, John Haig installed at the distillery what at the time was almost unheard-of technology: continuous column stills that set out his vision for quality blends through innovation, new technology and creativity. However it quickly settles down to a warm, smooth caramel malty smoothness tinged with oak that will leave you wanting more.
