Ah, this bottle... there's a lot of confusion around it, so let me try to bring in some light to this:GOLD EDITION is the exact fragrance listed and reviewed here. I'd describe this scent as more feminine and sweet. I don't get strong decipherable tropical fruits, but i do get strength and general fruitiness with a bit of a nice complimentary indistinguishable floral. The smoky musk for me is the most dominant distinguishable scent. I'm not sure if it's smoke or a woodsy note... I hate strong smoke and some musky perfumes, but I love this inexplicably. Personally, I'm a bit of a gender-bender, unisex-lover, when it comes to fragrance and fashion, so I'd say a confident man who likes to smell pretty may enjoy this fragrance. I would not recommend it for traditional ultra-masculine scent lovers. Christian Carbonnel is the perfumer that made Xerjoff Erba Pura, and he also makes perfumes for Al Haramain. Doesn’t take a genius to work out that he made Amber Oud Gold Edition, although this isn’t advertised, not surprising. The perfume industry is a crazy world. Either way, this is considered to be almost identical to Erba Pure, some consider it a slight improvement on it. I usually hate clones but as this is the same perfumer I will buy this version over Xerjoff any day. Its masculinity lives in the opening, while the dry down is quite feminine. I think it is a little too sweet for me to enjoy smelling this on a man. I also think younger men could pull this off more easily -- as the masculine element is playful and casual. Oh wow, this gives a whole new meaning to the word "nuclear". Not my cup of tea, frankly, it is way to sharp to be worn by a woman, and i don't exactly enjoy today's sugary concoctions either. This is one that is definitely leaning towards being an amouage interlude men clone. Agree with @msajoy. bought it last week because of it being associated with the interlude and i can say i am very much satisfied.
To me It gives you all this, all at once, not in stages so it's very different in that aspect. I keep catching a glimpse of fruit like the melon and then the vanilla, then pineapple, then amber, woods... it's all happening at once & I love that. It's classed as unisex & it is! I personally class all fragrances as such, I don't associate a gender to a fragrance, it's a scent after all & all down to individual tastes. This is really beautiful. I wore it today while shopping and running errands, and I received three compliments from random strangers. Plus I heard one person say to her friend, "Dang, something smells GOOD - do you smell that?" It's rare for me to get compliments on perfume. I wore Delina (which is an absolute masterpiece) last week and received zero compliments, and then this unisex clone scent gets people to swoon. Well, not literally. Amber Oud Gold has a beautiful balance of fresh melon and pineapple with the rich, dark oud and amber. If you are on the fence, I would say go for this. Beautiful in heat or cold. This is sexy & intoxicating. I am currently testing it, and actually got distracted doing tasks after putting it on. DRYDOWN - The base or the composition which arrives after a very very long time has some beautiful Amber and musk in it. Which leave a very smooth and intoxicating fragrance on my skin with some of the vanilla of the middle still left over.
It's super potent and lasts and projects all day, the whiffs I get from this are just delicious. It's the perfect unisex scent and I can't recommend it enough. So happy with this blind buy. This perfume begins with a head of bergamot, rosewood, rosemary, cedar and lemon. These are followed by a heart note of guaiacum wood. As this fades away, it reveals the base of amber, musk, balsam and amber. Al Haramain Fragrances: Pricing I recently got this perfume, and this is amazing! I love how its a well rounded perfume. Its so sweet, deep but light at the same time (when you smell it in the air). When I got this, I wore it out the very next day and GOSH! it was sunny out but there's a nice breeze. My mom (who is not a fan of perfumes) kept telling me that it smells good. My mom is very sensitive with scents because it could easily give her a migraine, but she liked this one a looooot! This fragrance could easily be a signature scent. Its perfect for the hotter days but because its a sweet scent, in the fall or winter it will not be washed out by the cold air like most of the fresh scents. and somehow i really like this over erba pura , it has a nice sweet warm scent. As a guy i dont really thing this is too feminine , at least for me . Less is more on this one. This is insanely strong, and can be headache inducing. I do 1,5 spray and it’s more than enough.
