Many of us have done a great deal of psychological healing and overcome a lot of trauma, and are better-equipped for love now than we were in the past. If you spent your teen or early adult years having to hide who you were, that fear and constriction still lives in your body somewhere. I agree with everyone to be honest and upfront — some will be interested, some won’t but I think you’ll ultimately have many options. Even in just a few minutes, even on Zoom, their eyes soften as they see, really see each other — and their hearts soften as they really let themselves be seen.
