Osmo Interior Polyx Oil Effect Raw - 3044 is a lightly white pigmented wood oil designed for using on wooden flooring and furniture. I would see how you get on in the next week or so and if it does start to mark easily then perhaps a light sand to remove the excess, a wipe down with Methylated spirits and the result should be better. Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw is slightly white tinted and protects lighter coloured wood species nearly invisibly. On dark, reddish or ‘smoked / fumed’ wood species, Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw is visible as slightly white chalky surface. Applying excess Polyx®-Oil Effect Raw 3044 may also lead to a white chalky surface. Remove visible white pigments before allowing the surface to dry.A trial application is recommended.

Oils enhance the natural tone of wood. Applying the product too generously and with insufficient ventilation will lead to delays in drying. For Cork surfaces, due to their high absorbency please ensure that the wood finish is applied thinly. Longer drying times are to be taken into consideration (at least 24 hours).
