Advantage is scientifically proven to prevent and treat fleas on your pet, and kill larvae in the home, wherever the treated pet goes. Advantage is the fastest flea control in a tube. Only Advantage claims on its label that it kills 98-100 percent of fleas within 12 hours. Advantage also kills 100 percent of re-infesting fleas within two hours. Advantage has been designed to both control and prevent flea infestations within as little as 12 hours after administration. Safety of Advocate when administered on the same day as an adulticide to remove adult heartworms has not been evaluated. Step 2: Hold the tube in an upright position and twist and pull the cap to remove it. Use the reversed cap to twist and remove the seal from the tube. A single dose of the product should be administered. A further veterinary examination 30 days after treatment is recommended as some animals may require a second treatment. Do not apply directly to the ear canal. Dosage schedule for ferrets: one pipette of Advocate spot-on solution for small cats and ferrets (0.4 ml) should be administered per animal. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Size

For cats, the corresponding "Advocate spot-on solution for cat" product, which contains 100 mg/ml imidacloprid and 10 mg/ml moxidectin, must be used. This product is designed for the prevention and treatment of flea infestations, as well as biting lice in cats, dogs, and rabbits weighing under 4 kilograms (kg). Kills adult fleas and has a larvicidal effect thus helping break the flea lifecycle. Key Benefits In non-endemic areas there should be no risk of animals having heartworm. Re-infestation from new fleas in the environment may continue for six weeks or longer after treatment initiation. New fleas in the environment may continue to emerge for up to six weeks after treatment, so multiple treatments may be needed. Repeat treatment after four weeks. - Do not treat more frequently than weekly if re-treatment is necessary.Advantage 100 is designed for the prevention and treatment of flea infestations on dogs weighing between 4 and 10 kilograms. It is also effective for treating biting lice on dogs. How Advantage Works One treatment of Advantage 40 Spot On Solution will prevent further flea infestation for up to three to four weeks on cats and dogs. The fleas are killed within one day following treatment and to prevent further flea infestations, repeat the treatment of Advantage 40 spot on monthly. It is also recommended that all pets in the household are treated for fleas at the same time. The product remains effective if the animal becomes wet, for example after exposure to heavy rain, however, re-treatment may become necessary, depending on the presence of fleas in the environment. In these cases do not treat more frequently than once weekly.
