If you mount it at the front of the rack to minimize the setup’s footprint, there are might only be a few millimeters of clearance. Like said before, the trailer is the lightest in its class, nevertheless it would be interesting to see if the weight could be reduced even further. You would think that a bicycle trailer would cost a fraction of a bicycle, unfortunately this is often not true.

I was worried about it tipping over, but that never happened, even on bumpy stretches or going through patches of grass.

The Burley Travoy is a well-thought-out and constructed trailer with all the features you could want for hauling groceries or commuting to the office.

That said, there are a host of bags and accessories available that look effective, and if they are anything like the original trailer/tote, they will work well at keeping fragile items suspended and unspoiled. Next time I think I will use it as my trolly and put groceries in the bag and take them out at the tip – unless someone gets suspicious! The reflectors on the bottom are only visible from directly behind, at large distance and low perspective. The latest version uses a resizable hitch that can be attached and detached from the seatpost in seconds, making it ideal for users or families with multiple bikes.When loaded to around the weight limit, the trailer flexes quite a lot and I really wouldn’t feel confident to exceed these limits.
