About this deal

My wife and I (a non-gin drinker) spent a few hours at Jensen's on a Saturday afternoon in the company of the highly informative and amusing Charlie. Bursting with juniper flavour, with a luscious texture and aromatic bite, Jensen’s is a taste of what London Dry used to be. Um meinen Geschmack einzuordnen: ich liebe Wachholderbomben wie: Juniper Jack, The Cotrinthian, Portobello Road. we found some batches of Jensen's Gin disappointing, not living up to the first spectacular 2005 bottling.

Jensen’s has been designed to replicate the old-style London gins from the heyday of the gin cocktail and is one of the only small-batch London Dry gins actually produced in London. When we arrived we were all given a lovely big Jensens g and t in a lovely bowl glass with loads of ice. Jensen's achieve this authenticity by not using any botanicals that would not have been found in the 18th Century. On the palate, the gin offers a long and smooth finish that highlights the flavour of juniper, making it an excellent choice for a classic Martini.

Filled to the rim with ice cubes and garnished with native Australian eucalyptus leaves and lemon zest.A classic London dry style gin, with subtle notes of pine, eucalyptus and juniper, almost slightly soapy, but leaves you wanting more.

What sets Jensen's Bermondsey Gin apart is that it is created according to an old forgotten recipe, offering a taste that is unique and authentic. All the spirits bought will be packaged up by the distiller, using EeBria's courier safe packaging, and shipped straight to you the next working day after it's collected from the distillery. I was bought this as a Xmas present and was a bit dubious as I have found this type of thing can be a bit disappointing - but not this one!London's Docklands has an illustrious gin distilling history, coupled with a less-than-illustrious reputation as a former slum district fuelled by the 18th century gin craze.

While the juniper is the cornerstone of the gin's flavour profile, the other botanicals in this gin do not get overlooked. Will not readily appeal to those who are attracted by fancy labels and fancy bottles, which seems ro be the majority of gin drinkers these days. The data collected including the number visitors, the source where they have come from, and the pages viisted in an anonymous form. Next you will be shown around the Still Room, with a visual explanation of how Bermondsey make their gin, before being guided through samples of both expressions of the Jensen’s portfolio.Celebrating the flavours of vintage gin from London’s lost distilleries, you and a guest can go on an after-hours tour of The Bermondsey Distillery, home to Jensen’s gin. All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience. Jensen’s Gin is the brainchild of Christian Jensen, who set about creating a gin that honoured the recipes of London’s lost distilleries.
