About this deal

And then lots of people saying that it made them feel less alone, that they feel like they're trying to figure life out and that everyone seems to be succeeding, and they kind of still don't know what they're doing, and this book made them feel reassured that it's normal and that's what everybody feels like. arī daudz uzskatāmāki piemēri tam, cik ļoti visi mēdz kļūdīties un justies kā neveiksminieki tad, kad visi citi domā, ka tev ir viss ir ļoti labi.

As heartfelt and hilarious as the bestselling first novel, Nell discovers that there's no such thing as having it all figured out. As the eight-year-old on the bouncy castle explains, ‘if you get knocked down, you just get up again.I liked the format of the book especially Nell's Things I Am Grateful For at the end of each chapter.

On the other hand, there are many, many points that resonated with me and there are for sure many, many women out there with same thoughts and feeling. I will continue to read Alexandra Potter’s books, as from the 3 books I’ve read so far by her, I thinks she does a great job at capturing the trials and tribulations of women in their 40’s. More of all the fabulous characters plus some delightful new ones, this book is funny and moving in equal measure. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that this was a bad book it just lacked the luster and shine of the first one.

Whilst sharing the flat with not only Edward and their dog, but also his two teenage sons, a surprise pregnancy test throws Nells World into a spin. Potentially a few triggers so worth looking in to but really enjoyable follow up and would highly recommend. The new Bridget Jones for our times' - Celia Walden, The Telegraph'The story of Nell Stevens' struggle through her imperfect, messy life doesn't just make brilliant fiction, it's turning into a cultural revolution! This is a great follow-up to the first book set 2 years on as Nell continues with her podcast and still struggles with life.

Even when life appears to be going well, there’s always things to be grateful for as well as those sent to try us. I enjoyed the main characters in this book, especially Cricket, Nell's octogenarian best friend, who definitely doesn't act her age and doesnt care what others think! Synopsis (It's a fiction book, so it helps…from Netgalley, the provider of the book for me to review. This audio edition is brilliantly and hilariously read by Sally Phillips, known for her performances in Bridget Jones's Diary and Smack the Pony .

I absolutely loved the first book and ‘more confessions’ was just as good… what I like about the writing is the raw and real life approach, as someone in her 40s this book resonates with me, relationships take work, nothing is as perfect as people make it out to be on social media and this confronts that! Jāsaka, ka tie reti ir tikpat spēcīgi kā pirmā grāmata un, lai arī man patiešām patika arī šis, par mata tiesu tomēr šis kaut ko ir zaudējis - 4.

It was with a sense of glee that I noted Alexandra Potter was releasing a follow up to her 2021 best-selling novel, "Confessions of a Forty-Something F**k Up". I can’t tell you how happy I was to catch up with Nell and Cricket they have such an endearing friendship and all the other familiar characters in this sequel, they truly feel like old friends! It seems that actually they do not see their future invested in the same things and break off their engagement. When you get these kind of haphazard rom-coms (a genre I will be trademarking) you expect them to be fun and silly and light-hearted.I hate to say it but I think Potter was riding the wave of the success of the first book from her adoring fans but sometimes it’s best to know when to leave well enough alone. Very enjoyable and entertaining book with the telling of life how it is with none of us achieving perfection or things turning out as we may have planned.
