Some parts are scary to read about the fear of rejection because of your insecurities, that makes me tear up a little. i was laying down cozy in my bed until i got to chapter 19 or 20 and i shot up so quick and didnt move until chapter 28😭 i read the second book so long ago so hearing alicia’s story and how its tied to mark my jaw was on the floor. When a young woman is found hanged at home wearing a wedding dress Lottie and Boyd sense something is a little off. Honeysuckle Weeks is charming and loyal, with some nice touches of subtle humour as ever, and Anthony Howell is wonderful.

This is an unputdownable thriller with lot of twists and turns and my heart broke at the outcome at the end. Another great police procedural twisty mystery to get your teeth into, I cannot fault these books ever, it has it all. They have agreed to marry but are keeping it quiet until she feels ready to tell her children and face her superior officer. It's always a pleasure when an author finds a good narrator and retains her/him throughout the series.

When school teacher Cara Dunne is found hanging in her bathroom - a belt pulled taught around her neck, it sadly looks like a cut and dried case of suicide, however, there’s no suicide note, but what makes a suicide verdict seem more likely is the fact that she was wearing a wedding dress. Lottie has a very hectic life with not only the with the investigations of the suicides and the disappearance of Lily but, she is trying to juggle her home life with her kids and her half-brother. Overall it was a great book, that I definitely enjoyed and I look forward to reading the next book in the story. Thank you for reading my review, I hope you enjoy Patricia Gibney’s Lottie parker series as much as I do. The crimes are hard ones to crack and there will be quite a few false leads before all is resolved in this well plotted thriller.

BROKEN SOULS is an intriguing police procedural with mystery, murder and mayhem all combined to make for a compelling read. After being fairly disappointed by the last two books in the series, in "Broken souls" DI Lottie Parker is (almost) back to form.

I was a little disappointed in book 6 for there were so many repeats and catch up non readers I almost set it aside. This has the effect of allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of their behaviour's and draw our own conclusions, a detailed investigation depicting realities of working with different members of a team. This one was filled with people that were very despicable and honestly they all made good candidates for being the "bad guy. Julian's arrival will give a new direction to the lives of the three, creating a love triangle full of reconciliations, secrets and death. I’ve read books who had complete chapters detailing traumatic events and that’s extremely triggering for me.

Sure, she's a little bit less bitchy than in previous stories, but she still acts like everything's about her. They may also be used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
