About this deal

I never liked actually running in them as they're just so big and bulky - I just think they are way too much shoe for daily running miles. Jeff V: The new air mesh upper is impressively modern looking, flexible, well ventilated and secure.

This has bothered me during the first few miles of runs, so those sensitive to those will likely not do well in this shoe. The Inov-8 (formerly known as Terraultra) is zero drop, and lower to the ground with a more responsive, bouncy even, midsole. A breathable upper around the forefoot gives appropriate ventilation while the TPU mudguard protects the foot from unwanted debris. Brooks DNA was developed to continuously tailor the level of cushioning to specific needs – even as they change during the run. I can’t say how much intentional design thought went into this, but I’m finding that it really works well. Made for light trails and road-to-trail transitions, the Divide 3 fits like a road shoe with Trail-Tack traction and added protection.

The TrailTack outsole on the Brooks Divide 3 has low-profile lugs that are smooth on road and perform well on “light trail. While the Brooks Divide 3 makes an excellent trail/road option for the newer runner looking to explore off-road surfaces to see if they like it, it also may work as a lower to the ground, simple performance shoe for experienced runners who want a slightly wider fit in a lighter package. There are also minor grooves along the edge to aid flexibility - it makes sense to have a few more on the lateral side as that is generally the landing side.

was really knowledgeable and I feel really confident that I’ve got the right pair of shoes to help me on my runs. A protector is integrated at the heel for added support and stability to offer a more durable, protective feel to the upper.Cascadia and Catamount both have rock plates, and the Caldera has a huge foam stack, so slotting the Divide to provide a bit more trail feel makes sense to me. having some problems since changing running shoes and they've been really helpful and have gone above and beyond my expectations in trying to solve my issues . Both work well for moderate distance training miles, the Topo could go longer based on your personal fit and feel.

Sliding my foot into the Divide 3 is pure comfort and joy, feeling well cushioned, well padded, exceptionally comfortable, with a roomy toe box, yet secure fit and optimal lacing. Our views are based on our extensive history in the footwear industry and years testing and developing footwear. Designed with a breathable textile upper, feet are kept cool and dry whilst a DNA Loft midsole offers customised cushioning adapting to your feet with every glide giving smoother transitions and softer landings. I find the Terraultra works best in shifty, twisty terrain as security and ground feel is very good.Previous models of the Divide — and Cascadia — featured Brooks’s slightly more responsive BioMoGo DNA. If you are a footwear rep looking for footwear reviews or consultations on development, we are currently looking to partner with companies to assist, discuss and promote footwear models. Jeff V: While the Divide 3 is secure and stable, the Cascadia 16 is even more so, with a more dialed in upper, more aggressive outsole, Loft DNA v2, the Cascadia 16 is heavier, but more responsive and performance oriented. Jeff V: The TrailTak outsole strikes a perfect balance of all around road versatility to rough trail/off trail capability.
