Ideal for surfaces difficult to strip due to size or intricate design and horizontal and vertical surfaces. Note: Any rags, steel wool etc. soaked in D1 may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Rags, steel wool etc. must be saturated with water after use or placed in a sealed, water filled metal container, before disposing of it with household waste. Maintenance Shake or stir container well before use. Use neat or diluted. See data sheet. Work large areas in zones. Always work in the direction of the grain. Do Not use a wire brush. Immediately after rinsing and whilst the wood is still wet, you now need to apply Net-Trol to clean and neturalise the wood. Applying Net-Trol After stripping and rinsing, surfaces must immediately be treated with Net-Trol while still wet to neutralise the surface.

Rinse with copious amounts of fresh water, using the highest pressure from the water source available or use a power washer at 500-1000 psi (35-70 bars) working in direction of grain (Rinse adjacent areas at same time). It will save both time and effort when cleaning and restoring colour to wood by effortlessly removing both the surface and ground in dirt in as little as 15 minutes without the need for sanding. Net-trol is also biodegradable and does not contain solvents or bleach meaning it’s not harmful to plants and shrubs so it’s safe to use in the garden. Wet surface with fresh clean water. Apply Owatrol Net-Trol. Leave to work for 10 minutes. Scrub surface with a soft or medium scrubbing brush. Rinse with large amounts of fresh clean water.

As garden furniture and equipment is often metal it can rust when exposed to the delightful British weather leaving unsightly marks on your patio. These stains can be particularly stubborn and generally cannot be removed using water alone – even if using a pressure washer. Leave to stand for around 10-20 minutes. If the surface starts to dry, dampen with a mist application of water. Exterior – Prepare as for interior wood or treat the surface with Aquanett and then neutralise with Net-Trol. Sometimes knowing which Owatrol product(s) you need for your wooden restoration project can seem a little bit daunting. We recommend protecting and enhancing the natural beauty of your wood with Owatrol penetrating wood finishes. Restrictions DO NOT allow Deks Olje D1 to become dry or touch dry between applications. Leave the final application for 30 minutes, then wipe over the surface to remove excess and puddled material with a rag soaked in Deks Olje D1 and rung out so that it is damp to the touch. If necessary occasionally ring out the cloth to keep it damp. It is important that as much D1 as possible is applied on the first day. The secret of Deks Olje’s success lies in its saturation of the wood to bring about an even ‘matt sheen’ finish when dry. Start by applying Deks Olje D1 to an area that can be treated in about 15 minutes. As soon as the 1st application has penetrated (normally 15-30 minutes), apply a 2nd application. Then continue applying D1 ‘wet on wet’ until a uniform, overall saturation of the wood is achieved. The number of applications needed depends on the wood.

Allow to dry for 48 hours or until it meets the moisture content required by the chosen finish before finishing Net-Trol can be used neat or diluted up to a maximum of 1:4 with clean water depending on surface condition. All other oils or sealers must be completely and thoroughly removed with Aquanett and stripped surfaces neutralised with Net-Trol, before applying Deks Olje D1. Previously coated surfaces (Paint, Stain, Varnish, Waterproofers) First, wet the surface with clean water, then apply Net-Trol with a synthetic brush or long pile roller and agitate the surface with the brush. As Dilunett is biodegradable and non flammable, it is even safe to use in poorly ventilated or confined areas.

After an appropriate time, test a small area with nylon scrubbing brush to see if finish or dirt is lifting.
